    I had 10 cursed souls for killing the Atalanta NPCs. When I checked the Black Market today, they were gone. What gives?

    That was from last event.. cursed souls do not stay on for 1 event to another.
    you have to spend it before the deadline.
    or you'll get the exchange which really sucked.
    100 ammo per cursed soul last event.

    How do you know when they expire? I didn't even know there was a deadline.

    At the end of events, as there special to events.
    Check the event faqs, it always states all the information you need :)

    Ahoy mate,

    Your fellow pirates are correct. They were from the other event. Once the previous event ended, all souls were exchanged for ingame items. As this is a new event, everyone starts fresh.
