We have 3 slots max on Forecastle. Everyone needs the "Cannon loader" to compete. If I use one of the other most important choices "Reinforced hull" or "Adamantine hull" along with "Centerboard", how am I supposed to have time to swap out my "Rowers" with one of the Hull options to increase my ship speed when I am running damaged? I'll be sunk well before I can do that! And if the answer is use the "Cannon loader" along with "Centerboard" and "Rowers", then the sacrifice is just too great to run it that way all of the time, and that causes the speed buffs to essentially be worthless.

    Ahoy mate,

It all depends on how you want to fight. Which castles you use is a personal choice that we cannot make for you. You must decide what best suits your ship and fighting style.

You should buy the stortebaker design, it makes up for all damage to your ship.

Thank you for adding your own personal advise Kazuto.

However, as stated regarding castles this is down to each indvidual player which way they wish to fight or play as to which castles they opt for.

Yes - I expected that would be your answer (no offense). I just think they messed up when they decided to change the Speed Point system and configured the new Update in this manner. It makes it implausible to try to run at full-speed. And to "Kazuto": the "Blockade runner" buff adds to your boat's speed while damaged or burning, but it does not replace the Rowers if you look at the maximum speed attainable while damaged/burning (you still need the Rowers). Please see below. Moderators - you can close this thread...thank you for your help!
