Critical error on damage reduction

According to my calculations, it is possible to reach an overwhelming defense that renders the player unvincible:

Agwe plates	%10

Aquamarine lvl 20*	%20
Super plates**	%10

This gives us an incredible 99% percent off in the damage we receive. This means that if you hit 40k, a player wth all of these buffs will only receive 400 of damage. This means that you need 1000 (over 100k pearls in ammo) shots to sink a player with 400k hp without considering vodoo points.

I understand that no one has lvl20 aquamarine gem and very few people can get super plates (no one in my server), but what's going to happen once they acquire these?

The defense calculation of BP is a bit weird, I have 64% reduction but players still hitting me for 25k with flares.

 

This is not cumulative.

As a rough guide using armour plates, would give a 10% reduction of the base so if you want to base it on 40k this would give a 10% reduction of 4000 points.
The base would now be 36000
If using the Aventurine this would give a 5% reduction of 1800 points
The base would now be 34200
The jotnar pet would give a 15% reduction of points 5130
These you could add, for a total of 10930points.

If you add 10% + 5% + 15% thinking it gives 30% a reduction of 40k which would be 12000 points you are incorrect . Please don't quote me on this, I am not a developer, I don't know which one is calculated first, it's simply to indicate that it's not cumulative.

 

your calculation on the jotner pet is wrong its not less damage is less of a chance to be hit different thing so its not an actual reduction in damage

 

Im pretty sure it's damage reduction. The pets of less chance of being hit are phobos and deimos.

Shiver is correct, the order it is added in is unknown, but they are not additive percentages. They work off of each other, one takes off XX% then the next takes off another XX% of the new number etc...

 

Thanks Nimitz, Shiver and the other mates for adding their info. You may close the thread, but please forward this thread to the devs if possible so they can explain how the defense system works (there are many things they should explain).

BTW there are players wich are receiving about 12000 damage from people that would hit up to 45 on me considering that I have lvl 5 *reduction castle* and 5 skills on plates. Is this possible? I heard there is a cheat regarding pet foods.
