    Is it common not to receive premium when we get golden food from chests?

    2014-11-17 18:22:24You opened a locked chest.
    2014-11-17 18:22:24You received 3 x 55-Pounder.
    2014-11-17 18:22:24You received 2 x Golden food offensive pack.
    2014-11-17 18:22:24You received 2 x Sailmaker.

    Sometimes itll be for cannons, other times it will be for Premium :)

    Your fellow pirate is correct, you will not get the premium each and every time.

    You get premium with gold defensive pet food and only gold defensive pet food, offensive pet food always comes with cannons and sail makers.
