Speed

Ok i have a question on how to get max speed, i have my centerboard+Sternpost level6, + speed gem but forget about the gem right now

I have 763 with out my speed gem, i should have 799 but cannot figure out what i am missing, please help.

I have heard that you need level 2 beams but i already have full of them.

 

u need also 5/5 skills @ "Wind at Your Back" skill

 

Thank you for adding this claw. Has this helped wild? beams do not effect speed at all.

 

No that brings me past 799. My speed should be 799 without the speed gem and its not.

 

Do you have sails?

 

The thread (link below) has a detailed breakdown of speed and which properties are required to achieve 799 speed.

The speed gem (Topaz +49 above 50% HP) once selected becomes an additional bonus that is added on top of the 799. That makes a total constant top speed of 848, which can only to be improved upon by short term bursts of Swiftstones or Pumpkin Power.

Level 5

 

well, my ship speed count as this:
elite ship = 385
centerboard+Sternpost level 6 = 70+80 = 150
lvl5 sails = 159
ships elite pilot = 40
Wind at Your Back skills = 65
so 385+150+159+40+65 = 799

if u add the "Topaz" the speed gem then 799+49 = 848

check ur ship maybe ur missing some of this things

 

This is how your Speed works.

The graphic below should help explain how speed in Seafight now works:

Here you can see that when your ship goes down to 66% HP your mast collapses and your sails no longer work. Then, when your HP goes down to 33%, your ship starts burning and your crew no longer work! From the graphics, you can see how the castles work and how they improve your overall ship speed.

The buffs in purple show the Absolute values and are dependent on the three key stages of your ship; Normal, Damaged and Burning. The buffs in blue are percentage based buffs. For example, the Queen’s Legacy speed has finally been fixed and will give you a speed buff of 10% whilst the Pumpkin Power gives a 35% buff and Swiftstone will give you a 25% buff.

The Störtebeker design will also have the “Blockade Runner” buff which will give you an extra 80 speed points in both the damaged and burning states
