Daily Bonuses

What is the reason for the change in daily bonuses? The way the bonuses were structured allowed you to get 6000 pearls and 30 crystals in a 30 day period. It appears that this no longer is the case. This is pretty chintzy on the part of the development team since most everything worthwhile buying requires either pearls or crystals. I don't believe that this is fair to many of the players since the monetary system employed in the game is ridiculous to begin with. Specifically, you can buy gold with pearls, but you can't buy pearls with gold.

Some things are best left alone, and the change that was made really did not enhance the playing of the game. I believe that it, in fact, makes it worse for those players who can not afford to 'pay to play'.

The other day, I won an Emperor's Bag as part of the lottery that the new daily login bonus also features... I'm not sure I could earn that otherwise (in the old system or on the water for that matter)

Plus the other Milestones you will reach from logging in each day of the month.
But as you can see, not only from what I have listed above do you earn 27 Crystals, and 3800 Pearls, you also win 29870 Pearls worth of items (again not including future Milestones I can not see), 3 Payment Items, with a chance to get up to 8 more Payment Items/Winnable Items/2400 Pearls worth of Items.
Again, the pearl values were calculated using Rebate, Premium and 10% Island Discount, most players won't have all them, making the Login Rewards even better for them.

Now, personally, I think that the new system without counting the future Milestone rewards, is undoubtedly better than the old login reward of 200 Pearls and 1 Crystal each day.

Absolutely! This could easily be determined from a very brief cursory glance.

The merits of the new log in bonus system is a no brainer and a vast improvement compared against the defunct old system.
