Perma Ban for Those who used Exploits?

So will there be a Permanent Ban for those players who knowingly and lets face we know who they are. It is the usual suspects who used the latest exploit/game bug that when they switched designs they had 1000 cannons and a million hp ? It cost not only Bigpoint but also the players who play honestly and in good faith. Will you permanently ban them?

Perhaps Bigpoint will put them in the "file 13" list of eventual things to do like ban those who every month make a joke out of the monthly league standings by botting and the rest bot accounts that have completely taken over this game in which BP has not only lost control of but loos as though they have written off dealing with.

After this past weekend and days of major issues with all the long chronic issues of the game would any player have any faith left to spend any money or even continue to play this game? A number of us questioned if this was the final end of Seafight.

Mods I feel for you! You are in a frustrating position but I'd like management to answer this thread? Do you realize the signals that are being sent to your customers? What is your plan in dealing with this and a timetable? Just be honest or shut the game down.

Since this issue came about through an error/bug via a sync that gave the ability for players to go ahead with such things, it would not be right to ban them. None of these players used a program or a script to cheat. What we will do is make a list of the IDs that used the exploit and it will be taken into consideration when their game play is reviewed.

Please be advised that some players who carried over 1000s of cannons upon their accounts are getting suspended from the game for a short break. This will not just be the only action carried out, as previously stated by Oessian, we will do is make a list of the IDs that used the exploit and it will be taken into consideration when their game play is reviewed.

 

why ? they have actively and on purpose done this ....hence there defenceless to play dumb a cheater is a cheater after all or are some getting perk`s ????

 

Reviews work both ways.

At the same time the players are being reviewed, BP/SF is as well.

And by that I mean, Players are watchin and making decisions too.

Best suggestion.... BP/SF had best get it right...and soon.

 

nice one seren and I hope any gains they have gained will be removed and then some ,,hopefully multiple habitual cheats we be gone for a long time. wondered why islands were going fast I wonder .....and strange ranking jump ups

 

Seren and management team, "Short Break" for those who used the game bug to gain an unfair advantage. I want all of you to carefully think about the signal a "Short Break" will send to those who used this exploit because they KNEW EXACTLY what they were doing and most likely have made their game within a game to find other exploits and bug and most likely bot also. I want you to think about what a "Short Break" means to those players who play honestly and spend money those being actual good faith customers. This seems to be a fundamental problem with Seafight. They knew basically nothing will happen to them and crossed that line most likely again. They should be kicked from the game permanently. Zero Tolerance and start with them and move on to the botters. It would go along way in turning this game around but that is entirely the choice of management.

 

I believe it says in the T&C's that players should report bugs when found, I wonder how many did?

 

This bug was not used to take any islands on GB1 (your server). This has only been around for a few days, and only during the major server lag, which GB1 has not experianced.

The problem is, that this bug was literally just caused by you pressing a skin on your favourites... no external program, or special steps required. You changing from your Fighting Skin to your Repair Skin could result in you having more cannons, speed, HP and VP. Once this happened I believe it remained on your boat until a restart.

With that said, there are those who purposefully did this over and over again, to benifit from this. Those players, the ones who had thousands of cannon slots, should be punished; banned for a period of time and their gained items removed. The normal player who just tried switching skins should not be punished.

what makes you think you know how long this bugs been around for ???and what would you know its been used for ?? you are not affiliated to bigpoint or there mod team in any way shape or form

swapping skins on a map change ,oh I'm sure they all did this by accident over and over again day after day ,before popping into scrolls for 12 plus hours day after day ...making millions of cheated ep.elp npc damage etc etc ..I for one hope all there rankings and elp/ep are reset to ZERO !!! and may I remind you of bigpoints T&C ...
8.3 Termination on serious grounds
If the User violates the prohibition on exploiting programming errors (bugs) (see section 1.2)
1.2.9 The use of programming bugs and/or errors to achieve personal gain is strictly prohibited.

I think this should go to the public vote (of course thoses who have been doing this votes don't count )

 

This bug has been caused by the extreme lag, not the server lag the gb1 server has. Also, you didnt even need to change map frank... pressing a skin in the middle of the map you could gain extra cannons, speed, hp and vp. If you don't know how it happened dont pretend you do.

can you give me your ID and global im really interested to know what ship you have bcs every time on forum the big talkers about spending infinity of money are only weak players that cant be competitive ... i would accept that sf bann my account for a period of time ... but since was not any program or script or bot or idk what else can be i think you are a little bit hard on permanently bann m8 ... idk about you but i have diferent configurations for my ship designs .... i have design for Battle points ... for speed ... for boarding .. for repairing ... for monsters ... for gold .. for ELP using diferent special gems so why should i get permanently banned just for having a normal day play ... when i want elp i change my configuration ... for monster mission for crowns another so you think is fair to get banned only because im playing normally like i always do ?????

 

people who are doing this hour after hour day after day knowing what there doing .
and its not just a case of swapping skin m8
