Cannot Board !

I've been seeing this problem for quite a while. I'm not able to board another ship, for some reason the two sword icon for capturing doesn't light up at all so i can't board. I even tried changing it into a key setting so i could use a key to cap but it still doesn't work.

 

Make sure you have a boarding officer and they are equiped. Also make sure you have pirates and equipment (cutlasses etc) on ship. Suspect this would be part of your issue. Without boarding officer or pirates you would not be given the option to board npcs or other players.

Ahoy,

You can purchase a Boarding Officer by going to the Tavern, Pirates, and then scrolling down until you see a Level 1 Commander or a Level 2 Commander, these are your Boarding Officers.
