    OP,

    Excuses only satisfy the person that is making them.
    4 pages worth still doesnt make yours excusable.

    I say .... "Good riddance !! "

    listen you can keep on and on with all yer blabbing but it falls on deaf ears. If you really wanted to help with the botting situation, why wouldnt you contact Bigpoint and share with them all your info on botting and where you have multiple times acquired your bots, but no, u didnt, good riddance to you.

    It is SO disappointing to learn that BP punishes bot users with temporary bans. This will do NOTHING to change their incentives to cheat. The bot cheaters will thus continue to reap all the benefits, including:

    * top event rankings
    * always full life, because bots complete scrolls
    * complete all daily quests
    * tons of gold to waste on market
    * millions of pearls to waste on aruba, fighting (on a DAILY basis according to post)
    * and so on...

    I predict all bot cheaters will have the new trophies more or less instantly. Who can otherwise shoot 1,000 Nessies??

    It must be nice to do that while sleeping.

    The honest players are yet again being taken from behind. It is so discouraging. I am speechless. Stupifying. This is really waning my interest in the game.

    The latest brain fart of BP is to make it super profitable to shoot Drakir Hrell with elite ammo.. Go to those maps, look how many bots are doing that now non-stop....

    24/7/52... and NOTHING happens... OMG..

    It doesn't matter what BP does. The problem isn't that Drakir's are profitable, it's that the bots can shoot these and go unpunished. BP finally gave us a good way to make pearls to keep more players playing the game, however the problem is the bots are on them all day.

    It's kind of like the glitters have been lowered in spawn rate drastically (or it's because of the shrinkage in maps). It doesn't affect the bots, just the people who actually bought the doubler and glitter hunt for pearls. Nerfing drakir's won't hurt bots, it hurts the non botters.

    Remove bots = hurt bots, keeps non botters
    Remove or nerf Drakir's = make non botters quit and doesn't hurt botters

    I think Drak's are the only good thing about this update. Remove the problem, bots. Don't nerf or remove the new NPC's.

    Hi there Ryste,

    I was not justifying my behaviour. I've said outright that what I did was wrong, I have just explained why I did it. That doesn't mean I think its okay, just that every action has a motive and that was mine.

    Hi Marksman,

    I've not tried to say it is excusable and these are the responses I expected before deciding to post the thread. I understand a lot of people's comments about saying good riddance and I don't blame you for this. All I'm trying to say however is that regardless of whether I am here or not it won't change the botting situation. Maybe this post is too little too late, and maybe it is rather ironic that an ex-botter would write a post like this but all I can say is that this is with the best intentions. This game has deteriorated drastically over the last few years and admittedly a lot of that is down to the abundance of bots, all botters know this. I'm just trying to now help those that I (along with countless others) have effected through my actions.

    Due to popular demand, I will now cease responses to this thread. @Seren I hope that some of the constructive criticism given by players such as @the-one-after amongst others can be fed back to the developers as potential ways for them to deal with this issue. Many thanks to all those that have voiced their opinions, even if I do not share the same.

    Most of those posting here are most likely enemies on the water, but I can say one thing about them they might not hear me say on the water (especially since I changed my name on the water right after joining the forum years ago), I have far more respect for them because they don't cheat, than those who do . . we all play the game in our own fashion but still abide by the rules of the game.
    I highly doubt SeaFight was ever meant to be considered as a "hardcore" game, as that is where the majority of script/botters generally hang out . . yes, there's a ton of grinding . . yes, it takes a long time to build up a boat in order to be competitive . . and yes, you sometimes have to break out the old wallet and spend some real money in order to have better toys than others in the game . . yet it was always done within the game's guidelines.
    No matter how a script/botter tries to justify their actions, you built your boat up the illegal way and sooner or later, you will be caught, hopefully the former . . and with that, I'll fade back to the game after the marauder event anyway, lol . . fair sailing all and good hunting

    @Destruction2 is correct, the only way to gain on most events is to bot. They make events so tedious and time consuming that if your not slaving out 12 hour a day you arent making anything. They expect you to dedicate your life to make a few pearls/items and you get nothing but extortionate prices and awful player support .
