"Something Borrowed"?

The reward for the "Something Borrowed" quest shows, among other rewards, one pirate level. I finished the new quest series given by "Shadowhunter" and it too showed one pirate level along with 10 voodoo cannons, etc. I never received an increase in my pirate level for completing that quest (however I did receive the cannons, pearls, etc.). Was that just an error in the quest or something else? Hopefully I will receive the increase in pirate level for my current quest. Thank you.

 

You are able to do all of the new quests, you will just not receive a level from completing this test. If you want to lvl up then you will have to do the test on your lvl

Just curious--why does it show a pirate level up reward if there isn't any?

 

The reason it would show this is for those pirates who have not taken that test previously and they are then granted the next level. As you are already pasted this level you would not require it. It just grants you the opportunity to gain the other rewards including the cannons.
