    I have been infected on two different occasions by the Surgeon's Visage while in Safe Haven. Is this a glitch?

    Ahoy,

    As your fellow pirate says, this is not a glitch. Another player can activate their Surgeon's Visage and if they sail close enough to you, you shall be infected.
