Question about cannon power during Marauder's Hunt Event.

This is the first Marauder's Hunt Event that I have ever seen where players are blowing people away with like 3 shots. Anything new going on that I should know about? In my opinion, it is making the game virtually worthless to play. These 1.4 million total hit point bases and 500+ cannons have ruined the game (and I knew they would). To spend the money to have that kind of base and firepower means you have to be completely insane to try to play this video game competitively.

On marauders days there are two types of ammo that do extra damage. Please check out the ammunition thread in the seafight bible.

I am aware of this. I am using Scrap ammo for PvP. That is where I question the damage because it is suddenly absurd. The other ammo is for PvE, which I have no concern about. So any other ideas? Thank you.

There are no other new changes introduced by this event that would further increase a players damage on yourself.
