Best setup for war

Yes, you can easily hit 300 K damage on an enemy, if he has a weak defense setup, but lately, there is a lot of players, who hit me with 250-300 K, while I only hit them with around 100 K with scrapammo, which makes me wonder, what I'm doing wrong?

I know, that there are much better ships than mine out there, but I still have 520 cannons, mostly lvl 5/6 Painbringers and some World breaker lvl 1 + everything in buffs/skills/castle/trophy etc. and lvl 25-27 stones. So the difference should not be that big? 30-40 K more damage, I could understand with 600+ cannons (guess very few players have 600+ cannons?), but not 2-3 x my damage with 520 cannons.

So I would really like to know the setup for max. damage done and still min. damage received during war (did not think this combi was possible, but apparently it is).

what ship and pet gems do you run in your PvP setup?

 

The only thing that can make this sort of drastic difference is accuracy. Lots of players build dodge chance for PvP so you have to counter that with more accuracy.

Swap out critical gems for accuracy imo and that should help you out a lot. Consider polished muzzles/hailstorm too if you don't already use them
