Admiral Valencia Despawn?

I know the Valencia spawns every 4 hours, but does it despawn after some time as well? I was shooting one, repaired, and then went looking for it to shoot more and I couldn't find it. I know it wasn't sunk by someone else.

 

We believe there was a change previously to the Valencia that they do despawn but have asked for further information.

I did eventually find it after 4 or 5 more trips around the map.

Follow up question. Its an admiral, but I didn't get any credit for what I hit towards the season (Damage to lower Commonwealth Admirals). Why not?

 

They are not supposed to despawn. As far as not receiving any points are you sure there was not a restart at the time. Maybe an unannounced one? Either that or something glitched. What server was this?3

Valencia does not give points for season due to change is only for questing. If you hover cursor over season quest it shows you which ones do per screen shot: https://prnt.sc/sab3x1

 

OK, that explains why I didn't get the points. It doesn't explain why an NCP with the word Admiral in the name isn't considered an admiral when all of the 'old world' admirals don't even have admiral in their names... I guess its just another one of those quirks that the developers have made. Thanks.

 

VCMA and HRMA are for admirals except HRMA Fencer admirals minions, It's just the VCMA Valencia for quest line. Another reason they removed lots of rewards from it boosted hp way up and sails around all day unless a stack sinks it so would get that part of season points way to easy.
