Flash, the client and Unity

I am currently running SF in a browser. Although it is a bit slow and has slight lag, it is fine for PvP and reasonable for PvE (as long as there are not too many players in the map). The client is supposed to be faster so I have tried to install it. I run Win7 64-bit.

I have installed it normally and as administrator. Installing is no problem. However when I run the program, nothing happens. No client, no error message - just nothing. I have tried running as admin and in Win7 compatibility mode, same result. And yes, I read the (very technical) official thread on this forum. No problem, I just went back to playing in a browser.

With December - and the end of flash support - only several months away and the Unity not expected to be launched before that time, the client is supposed to be the backup plan to ensure I can keep playing.

Do any of my fellow pirates have a solution?

 

the 'client' still uses flash...(pepflashplayer64_26_0_0_137.dll)

I have uninstalled all versions of Microfost Visual C++ and reinstalled Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable (x64). Now when I run Seafight I get the following error message:

is an Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) library and is likely related to an AMD video card driver.

 

Uninstalled and reinstalled AMD drivers, client now works but soooo slow. Thanks for your help Lude
