Here we go again (Unity version) "The harsh truth"

Well...I am offering my version of the truth.

First, BP does not care if we like the platform or not. They expect a certain percentage of players who will leave the game and, most likely, an equal, or close to, stream of new players to fill the vacancies.

Second, about the forums, I think, maybe at best, 5% of active players even read or participate in the forums. Most players just run their bots and don't pay attention to the ongoing drama here in the forums so those of us who do write are just preaching to the choir. Nothing will come of it. Don't expect any positive changes because of our raging against the machine. (sorry, I can't help myself!) lol

Third, BP has trained its support team and the people who call themselves moderators to just be talking heads. They have nothing to offer other than a constant stream of deflections and excuses because they have no ability to change anything. I have racked up a nice collection of 'banned from forums due to violating the rules' along with chat bans in the game, because I have a tendency to insult those whom I deem incompetent. No matter what you say (speaking to the mods' you serve no viable purpose here. Get another job. If you want to volunteer, do something that is socially productive rather than wasting our time (and yours) here.

I could go on, but I am, as I said, just talking to the few people who read this. I would like to play the game, but the game is not functioning on a level that even makes it slightly entertaining. The new visuals are so inferior to the previous version that it is simply a joke. The game is so full of bugs that BP seems to be working out at our expense...since the buff timers keep ticking while we cannot play the game and they seem very capable of maintaining the 'auto debit' function for things like slashing blades.

I have been complaining in the forums since I came back to the game after a five year hiatus. Looking back, what a pity that I didn't try another game.

The bottom line is that this new version is what Seafight is now and it will not change. The excuses from support and the mods will continue into the distant future as long as the profit margins justify continuing the game. Don't expect BP to listen to the complaints here...most players will never even look at the forums...and any suggestions of mass revolts until the issues are resolved will never result in sufficient player participation let alone improvements. While the mods and support insist that they pass on our reports of issues to 'the developers', I highly doubt 'the developers' pay much attention to them. "The developers" are just interested in keeping the platform running with the minimum effort possible.

i agree and furthermore to add what you said what we report just gets bypassed and never actually looked into i have had 145 tickets in a month and no justification at all

Very well said. I did not play for 3 weeks and just came back and logged in. This is the most messed up the game has ever been. This game is nowhere close to being "Ready For Prime Time". The number of problems is ridiculous. Right now I am in Map 24 and can't leave it! The map is automatically scrolling upwards to the right (I am trying to go down to the bottom). I alter the "smooth map scrolling" box; I re-center my ship; nothing works. Pathetic. The entire development team should be fired. If this doesn't wipe out any remaining "profitability" from this disaster of a game for Bigpoint, then I will be totally shocked. As Łé††éяš~öƒ~мåяqµé so accurately states, WE are the Fools.
