Chat not working

Hello! I am trying to get back in to the game after a few years and the in-game chat doesnt load for me. This is making it hard for me to connect with other players. Thank you!

 

try reset menus , click the cogs at the top of the seachart

 

Thanks, it appears to be working and getting messages, but extremely slow (maybe just not many people on), and sending messages trys to trigger my hot keys and has kicked me out of scrolls.

Yea, thanks! The chat will populate now, but if I type in chat and try and send a message, all interactions break. I cannot change maps and I get kicked out of scrolls. I keep getting the alert "Action cancelled" when I try and move maps until I refresh.

 

Appologies, it appears to be my older laptop has these issues. My newer desktop does not have these issues.
