    Hi,

I have a question about the black gunpowder bonus and how it interacts with the skill powder punch. the gunpowder adds 10% hit prob and 10% crit dmg. the skill adds to this bonus up to 25% i believe. So does this mean when black gunpowder is active we receive +35% hit prob and +35% crit dmg? reason im asking is because i notice in ship overview when i activate gun powder my hit prob and crit dmg only goes up by 10% eventhough it should go up more than that due to the skill. it also doesn't change my cannon damage, so im curious where i can see the skill effect my stats. thanks

  2. That is a good question. Someone said that tempoary equipment like buffs do not show up on your ship menu...it would be nice to know.

    Hello,

Black Gunpowder provides you with 10% Critical damage and 10% Hit probability.

The skill "Powder Punch" adds additional buff to your gunpowder (Black Gunpowder Bonus).

Black Gunpowder Bonus is basically a cannon damage buff which is active only when you have action item "Black Gunpowder" active.

So if it is a cannon damage buff should i not be able to see my cannon damage change in ship overview when i toggle it active/inactive? what i'm really after here is seeing just how much this skill effects my damage so i can decide where i want to put additional skill points. Thanks

    Ahoy mate,

If you look at your Hit probability, that will change as you add/remove black powder from your ship. This is what is the stat being impacted. I hope this helps!

yes, i did notice that hit prob and crit dmg change when i add/remove black powder, but this change seems to ramain at only 10% regardless of how many skill points are in powder punch. what i would like to find out is where i can see the change in damage as im adding skill points to powder punch. now, if that 10% change is supposed to increase with the skill, then i may have an issue with my account. however, as Rymar described, powder punch acts as a damage buff to my cannons, so i dont think that 10% would incrase with the skill. but i would then expect to see an increase in the cannon damage category under ship overview, which i dont. so where would that increase be shown in the stats? thanks.

The change in damage can be seen only when you fire at your target and cannot be found in any of "ship values" in the overview.

As stated before this Skill adds additional bonus to your Gunpowder.

Black Gunpowder itself provides you with 10% Critical Damage and 10% Hit Probability bonus.

When you have some skills placed into "Powder Punch" skill then your Black Gunpowder still provide your with 10% Critical Damage,10% Hit Probability and +X% of additional "cannon damage" (the percentage depends on the amount of skills assigned into Powder Punch).

    Does that answer your query?

If i understand correctly- the skill powder punch does not add to the already existing hit prob and crit dmg...but adds an additional bonus in the form of cannon dmg, which cant be seen in any other way besides the additional damage you may notice when firing at opponents. So with points added in powder punch, black gunpowder will now provide 3 bonuses instead of 2: +10% hit prob, +10% crit dmg, and up to +25.2% cannon dmg (depending on amount of skill pts added). if that is the case, yes my question has been answered, and you may close. As a suggestion: this skill bonus should be added the the cannon damage value under ship overview so people can actually see the difference they are making when adding points to powder punch. Thanks for your patience with this.
