Strange Malfunction Yesterday (4/5/23)

F.Y.I - I had my Reload speed go up to over 3 seconds (I'm under 2 seconds) and boy - did it show! It was like that for approximately 5 to 8 minutes. (I was NOT using any Depth Charge ammo, either). Also, for about 2 minutes my Ship speed dropped from over 1,000 to a bit over 800. And again, boy - did it show! The next day (and until now) it has not happened again, although the game seems just not quite right. Example: I click to go forward and my boat stands still, and I have to click more times and then it starts. But in this process, it isn't acting like normal "lag".
I am posting to see if any of these are known problems currently being worked on, or if anyone else has experienced something of this nature recently. Thank you for your time and help.

 

I didn't notice any reload or ship speed issues, but the non-responsive click I had for sure. It's been happening for longer than just yesterday for me.

@The*Defiant When did you notice that your reload time and ship speed went down?

Perhaps during a fight?

If so then there is high possibility that your opponent have used Chilling Touch or Elmos Fire which slowed your reload time.

I would also check the Powder Monkeys on your ship.

We had no further reports regarding the issue you have experienced.

Hello Rymar. No fighting was involved. I was just sailing along from Point A to Point B and my ship was just "dragging along". (And as to "reload time", I was shooting NPCs). I looked at my stats and my speed was around 812. (In fact, I constantly checked my boat stats during these problems; that's how I knew the reload times and ship speed both went down and later came back to normal. And I could see in real-time that my firing time and ship speed were slowed dramatically).

I checked my Powder Monkeys (and Cabin Boys) while the reload problem was happening and I was trying to diagnose the problem. I had (and have) Cabin Boys for over 100 days. My Powder Monkeys were at "227". I distinctly recall this, since I went to the In-game shop and the numbers of PMs I could buy was "773". So I bought the "773" rest of them. Last question: Do I use 1 Powder Monkey per calendar day, or is it more than that? <--( I would appreciate knowing the answer to this). Thank you!

 

Alright, unfortunately we had no similar reports, could you please try to record a video if you'll encounter such issue in the future so this can be forwarded onto the developers.

To answer your question 1 Powder Monkey lasts 24 hours.
