    Ahoy!

There is one more thing that may (or may not) resolve your client issue.

    Please try the following:

    I. Press windows + R and %appdata% go to following directories and remove:

    1. AppData\Roaming - Remove seafight directory
    2. AppData\Local - Remove seafight directory
    3. \AppData\LocalLow\ - Remove Bigpoint directory
    II. Install SF Client again

Please try this method and let me know if it worked.

    Rymar

Rymar: "Support for Windows 7 ended on January 14, 2020". That said, we still get the monthly Antivirus updates and "Critical" updates, but we do not have the ability to get all updates. (And the two links you gave us are not applicable, due to the "no longer supported" issue). But personally, I do thank you for doing all of this to try to help us. However, I am afraid it is now a developer problem.

I am trying to think of a solution, personally I run Win10 here and no such issue affected me.

Sadly you'll have to wait for developers then.

Rymar: Here is the precise error message I get when trying to launch the Client. (Perhaps it might help the developers):

The procedure entry point DiscardVirtualMemory could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll.

    Ahoy!

From personal experience, please check if your anti virus is not blocking seafight (quarantine) if it does, then add seafight as an "exemption" - that may resolve your issue.

    Rymar

Interesting that you would suggest exempting seafight from a player's anti-virus protection.

Try installing a different browser id recomend firefox.

a second option would be to run your current browser but in incognito mode or private mode. to do this right click on the browser and open it.

hope some of these options might help.

Actually - and I give Rymar a hard time often - he is exactly correct. A few years back, this suggestion to disable your Antivirus protection for a download was quite common. So common, in fact, that mine had a "disable for 10 minutes" option! What you did not know is (and maybe he should have mentioned this) is that you ALWAYS reactivate your Antivirus after the download has been installed! So BP is not trying to "pull one over on us". I am just so old in age that I remember this time period well (as well as when a 56 kbps download speed per second was fast)! <--And yes - you read that right! That equalled 3.36 MB per minute (which was only theoretical, since we were using telephone lines back then and it never came close to that, in my experience). Those were the tough old days for the Internet (about 25 years ago).

Let's summarise: One player have problem with Seafight client - problem is in player (meaning computer). Many player have problem with Seafight client - problem is in new update (meaning in developers). So, lets devs do their job correctly and faster

Rymar forwarded it to the developers, mate. (He also tried to find a solution for us on his own first, but to no avail).

Firefox has the same SF 'Launcher' Problem. It is not a Browser fault but a Developer/Download fault in my humble opinion!
