You only get rewards once you are apart of the opposing faction.

You can join a faction by completing a quest with them.

And if you have debuff you cannot get rewards at all I guess?

As stated by Swift, you will only get rewards from the opposite team NPCs, you wont get anything if you hit "your own side".

Confused, have 2044 Vanhu Guardians reputation, only shot 'cold' ships, have 110 points under Vanhu kills.
Event shows 'Thanwhe Warrior Ranking, phase 1'

Where is ranking for Vanhu Guardians

 

The event just started, and i must say, maybe bp should adjust how much damage the event ships do small ships dont stand a chance

Reputation is gained from quests and that does not mean 1 NPC killed = 1 Reputation.

Set your ship into the "damage prevention mode" that will make your gameplay a bit easier.

Thank you Rymar i did they still hit me hard but its ok ill work though it, im just a lil boat... but good payout for a lil guy like me

 

Is there any way to get reputation and chose one side other than accepting quests?
Asking for the ones who got debuff

 

(1) Rymar: I may have missed the answer in the FAQs, but what is the Skull ammo - for purchase with pearls - during this Event used for?

When I shoot shipwrecks I get bastion cannons instead of overlords ? Is this a bug or do you get both from wrecks ?

 

That's a very good question, mate. (I used burning ice ammo on them). According to the Event FAQs, the faction you are in determines the ammo that is best to use (Burning Ice or Ignis ammo). However, since I have *not* yet played the Event by joining a faction, I am unsure and just picked Burning Ice ammo. Rymar: could you clarify this for us regarding this particular NPC?

 

The Skull ammo is for the groupmap Domination Arena.
