event issue

i am confused here, i completed the power of love event completion for the design, glyph and captains chest on my main account, i did it easily by completing all the event quests in both atlantis and on main water for 2 days which gave me more than enough event points, the 12 required quests and easily the event npc kills, yesterday i started on my second account and did all available quests, i now have the 12 quests done and the 60 npcs no problem, but i am well short of event points, over 30k , i have noted that quests given today have given no event points, i am aware that event points can be earned by killing npcs but when i completed it on my main account i had more than enough points once i had done 12 quests, something isnt adding up, i now will have to spend hours on end killing npcs to finish the event and get the design, this was not the case on my other account, can anyone shed any light on what has happened here? and why the quests today have given no event points at all.

Event quests provide around 62 000 event points + some points from NPCs.

Not all event completion have to (or will) provide a full set, some may require sinking additional NPCs in order to finish their.

thanks rymar, but that doesnt explain why one accounts quests earned more than enough points and the other account nowhere near enough points

Perhaps you have defeated much more NPCs with your first account, there are no differences in event points reward - all quests provide the same amount.

It seems that old event points (previous event) did not reset, so your first account took a part in it - and that is why you've got them completed.
