    Ahoy jbgrinder123!

    Yes, light works as intended.

Please be aware that the damage from your light is applied to nearby targets only if you explode due to your light overheating (reaching level 4), if a player sink you while you are using it no damage will be applied.

    Ahoy!

    Let me explain.

The damage from your light of tortuga (explosion) is applied only and only if your tortuga reach level 4 - then and only then damage is applied.

If you just activated the light and someone sunk you no damage will be inclicted.

When you activate tortuga you gain additional 1 mln HP which is a Stage (level) 1.

When your ship is damaged your light gain small number 1, 2, 3 etc. indicating the % of charge, once your light reached 100 you will be provided with Stage 2, same rule apply here -> Stage 3 and if you reach 100% on that one your vessel change into Stage 4 which is explosion.

You can read more about the light of tortuga here ->
