I have lost 3 of these over the past few weeks due to game malfunction. When I contact "Support" (that's a misnomer), they deny it happened and blame it on me, stock answer "we cannot replace individual items", which is another way of saying "Oh, you got cheated again? Well that's tough, too bad so sad, we don't give a darn, eat it". Latest example just a few minutes ago, I was sunk by another player, so when I did emergency repairs and popped up in another part of the map, which happened to be right on the border, I started repairs then clicked my aura button. No other player was around, I was not then in a fight and did NOT shoot at anyone and there was no one around to shoot at me. I clicked Aura, it disappeared from my inventory, but the aura never started. Again. When are they going to fix this darned bug? Prolly never as you don't care if you are stealing items from players, right? Do I sound bitter? I don't make stuff up, I don't lie, and I'm tired of getting screwed by game malfunctions!

    Ahoy Tergrinder!

This matter has been mentioned multiple times, I myself forwarded this to be reviewed and I can assure you that Auras are working as intended. The only way to lose your protection is to cause a PvP action.

Since you mentioned fighting against a player, spawning and taking the Aura I can tell you that the reason behind is quite simple, DoT (Damage Over Time)...

When you fire at your opponent and lets say you've lost / won (this doesnt matter) the DoT continue to apply at your target for several seconds.

If you activate an Aura and a DoT is applied your Aura will be lost - as you have performed a PvP action.

What I can recommend, when you are sunk DO NOT press Aura for at least 30 seconds since you've been sunk (or you sunk your target).

Thats about as dumb as it gets, just another way to steal perks from players. It should be fixed. Once you are sunk, the fight is OVER! Respawn should be a fresh start.*Edit*

    Ahoy Tergrinder!

On that part you are wrong, even if you are sunk you are still dealing DoT damage to your opponent - which is classified as PvP action.

There is nothing wrong with our Aura system, everything works correctly.

It does disappear sometimes when you open a quest even when not having been in a battle - just happened to me. So yes there is a problem.

Check this out: I had my aura on, and went away from my computer for several minutes. I came back, and the game had automatically logged me out. I logged back in. Now, I don't visibly see my aura, but I still have it (according to the "aura icon" and the timer on it, which is still ticking down as I type this). This can't be right.

Yes, I have experienced this too. Can't understand why they can't admit there is a problem with the aura, which, unlike what Rymar said, does not work perfectly. Seafight, your coders are human and absolutely are capable of making a mistake. Too many players reporting issues for you to keep insisting you are always "right" - you're not.

    Ahoy Tergrinder!

We can't admit to something that doesn't exist.

You and your fellow pirate pointed out two separated bits, the issue mentioned above is simply a display problem that occur after a log out / F5 has been done - and as stated by Mr-Amber we are aware of this small problem.

Regarding your aura lost it is completely different story.

As stated previously there is nothing wrong with our Aura system, if you disagree please contact Support.

To prevent this thread from becoming further discussion and as there is no technical issue regarding Aura I will close this thread.

    Happy Sailing!
