I will have PTSD from these quests resetting every 3 hours

 

hello i have the same question like the same time about the last quest with some items i complete more than 50 quests and still i didnt get this missing items non of them i have missing 3 items second day am trying every 3 hours and nothing i think its a bug or too hard to get them i dont know really first 8 quests for the event i get 5 items and after that nothing for the next 50 quests .....

 

There will be 2 quests in the atlantis, have you done theose ?

 

4 times atlantis and maybe 6 or 7 times the ship quests and still 3 missing now they restart and i will make them again but i am sure its gonna be the same

 

This is so poorly designed, I don't know what to say! I am using an aura, and the Cartagena spawned. I got to the map 2 -3 minutes later (max) and it (apparently) was already sunk. This is a bad joke. How we are supposed to get even the 50 million hit point quest done, much less the 500 million hit point "event completion" requirement, is beyond me. If we are supposed to just "keep trying", that is a cover-up excuse for a poorly-conceived event. Update: Another Cartagena just spawned, so I activated an hour glass so I could teleport. It is still broken! <--(This was reported previously by at least myself). I cannot teleport. Nobody cares about fixing this game, except for a few of the players!

 

Something wrong with doing quest for "Handle with care"!I needed only "Hexed Scroll and "Mask".Did all quests.Also Atlantis. Couldnt find these. So whats the point doing quests if we cant find these quests? Then it restarts after 3 hour all over and once again "try" to find the last ones.

 

Hey buddy - the quest "Historic Revisionism" gives the hexed mask, and "In a Nutshell" gives the hexed scroll. <--(If you are lucky, that is). And I wish these quest givers stood still. It's hard enough to read what the quest rewards are, without them moving constantly.

 

When i shoot cartagena the whole game freezes, what can i do about this?

 

Go to the top of your Seachart, and click on "Options", then click on the "Graphics" tab, and then scroll down and check your "Boost" box. When a lot of people are shooting the npc, the game slows down. This should help you a lot!

 

Push "Boost" on ship so only your own ship can been seeing shooting.

Today I need only Skull,Bottle and map. Know Bottle and Map is in atlantis.

 

I THIRD it - I haven't even seen a Cartagena yet. By the time I teleport to the map it is already gone - every time! And we are somehow supposed to do 500mil damage to this NPC? Devs know this is absolutely impossible, it's their way of breaking everyone's streak. Once again, totally bogus requirement. Thanks again SF for another ridiculous event completion requirement. Sheesh!

There is nothing wrong with the event quests - all items can be collected, it is a matter of luck and patience to get them.

This is possible, all it takes is time.

I did mine, most of my guild members did theirs too, there is still enough time to complete that completion task.

This event was not designed for players with limited time. And that includes new players, who tend to be less efficient in their gameplay. It makes no sense to have to do quests 3 or more times, in order to get items needed for the final quest, where all of the goodies are. And these Cartagena npcs do get sunk in under 3 minutes! (I timed a couple). So that's 1,350,000,000 in hit points, totally destroyed in minutes. And we each need 500 million in hit points off of them? I'm sorry, but this is poorly designed, and a "blind man" can see it.

 

This event, with its constant quest resets, feels more like a test of endurance or forced gameplay rather than the dynamic experience I’m used to. I’d be really interested to see the participation stats and whether there’s been any drop-off or growing frustration among players.

To make matters worse, I’ve been stuck on the final quest for over two days now because I’m missing just one item. I’ve even resorted to setting an alarm every three hours to do this quest. ( Force Gameplay ) - FInally got the last item a moment ago at 3am.

That said, this is just my experience, I know some players enjoy the new format, and fair play to them.

A few suggestions though:
Atlantis: 20M hit points feels about 5M too high.
Cartagena: Needs more HP there’s a common trend in recent events here.
Quests: If items are required, don’t leave completion entirely to chance.
Rewards: Excellent no complaints there!

So I played ALL day today, hours and hours. I have 221 mil of the 5 mil Cartagena points needed. I have managed to do everything else, but this goal is not attainable, I obviously will not reach it by the end-date tomorrow. Wait a half hour for the ship to finally spawn, but it's gone in 3 minutes. And all *Edit* who sink you as soon as you get to the map where the Cartagena is, makes it impossible. Stupid, stingy guilds! Ridiculously unfair. *Edit* My event streak sits at 12 (!), and there it will end. I want to thank the developers with all my heart for their unthinking event design - truly, you have reached the pinnacle of ineptitude. "Let's really fix 'em this time!" - well, you did. This is the kind of frustrating stupidity that made me leave SF in the first place several years ago. Starting to feel it may be time to say BYE again, cuz this sucks.

I know I've said this, but I found this event quite frustrating. I had to constantly monitor the spawning of the Cartagena, while burning through my one durable aura. I did manage to reach the 500 million hit point goal, but it was both stressful and "not fun". I had a couple of trips where I got like 1.8 million damage before it was gone. A couple of other trips, I didn't even get one shot off. The only reason I got it completed is because I had the time to waste on a silly goal, where the bar was set "too high". I'm sorry you had such difficulty, but I can see why. I'm fairly sure others won't make it, and it shouldn't be that way. You might consider spending $4.99 to buy the "streak freeze". (But if you don't, we both know why you chose not to. It's tough to find the desire to spend money, when things are this fouled up).

I will say the one great thing was that the event shop was stocked full of great stuff. That part was nice.

 

As you said, we both know why I won't give them my money - they don't deserve it, especially after this.

 

I'm beginning to wonder why we are so worried about the hot streak. It seems to only gain us bonus pirate glory, which hasn't even been a reward in several events. Am I missing something?
