New player

Sorry if it may sound dumb but what is fun about the game?
I've played for a couple days now but every minute or every two minutes someone comes along, shoots 2 times and I'm dead, I can't go further with my quests since I get killed before my ship is even repaired. Am I missing something or is there no protection for someone who's new compared to someone who has most of everything. I used up my aura of protection so that's no option either

We understand progression can be tricky for new or returning players.
We have recently updated the level 1-5 area and revised the questline and rewards for these maps in order to give new players a nice head start in building up a ship, we are aware that once you get beyond level 5 and enter the tropical area that things start to get a little tougher, As you point out we do have the aura system which gives you limited time protection.

We also have the raid map system which if you are level 15 or below you can for instance access the sun map, You can work in here quite freely as higher level players cannot access this map, you can build up pearls which will enable you to acquire better cannons etc.

You can also improve your ship by using captains, use of the skill system, and castles, as well as gems, buffs, etc.

May I ask what level you have progressed to? As I may be able to assist you further when I know what stage you are at.

We will always look at other possibilities to help new players further to enable them to continue to build up their ships to enable you to become more competitive and most importantly to enjoy the seafight experience.

Any suggestions you may have which you may think would be worth considering to improve the experience of new players you can post your thoughts in the Ideas and suggestions section of the forum.

Feel free to ask further questions if you need more information or help.

You can make a boat on the PvE server if you don't care for PvP that much.
