Several questions...

First, where is the event announcement for these Blackbeard npcs? I suddenly found them sailing around during this Thanksgiving event, with no explanation as to why they are sailing. I shot a few, and some paid "Pirate Glory" currency. I also saw a player asked about the ammo to use, and they are most vulnerable to flare ammo. Was there information furnished on any of this?

Second, regardiing this section below, on the recent "Black Week - Blackbeard Days" announcement:

What are the bonuses for each level?

• 1 package: 14x Commonwealth Sellsword Lv6, 14x Agility Trainer Lv6, 14x Aggression Trainer Lv6, 14x Voodoo Priest Lv5.
• 2 packages: Ship Design Admiral Calico.
• 3 packages: 20x Thunderbolt Lv5
• 4 packages: 5x Shimetrine Core, 5x Amfer Core, 1x Rubelite Core, 1x Blackheart Core.
• 5 packages: With the help of the new item Midnight Soul and old gems you have the possibility to buy a new gem

So - what are these two new cores highlighted above? (I see there is a "Shimerite core" that isn't new, so I am assuming that wasn't a typo on the "Shimetrine Core"). I also see a "Lava core", but I guess that has not yet been activated.

So - on this new gem (Penumbral), what level is it, and what is it (offensive, defensive, or special), and what does it do? Thank you.

You are correct, there has been no official announcement regarding 'Blackbeard' Npc's, However, to answer your question, they are sailing during black week as you have discovered to give an opportunity to gain Pirate glory currency which is also active this week, You have also discovered via the forum that flare ammunition deals extra damage to these Npc's, black week will end on 28th November, There is no further information required regarding Blackbeard Npc's.

As for the bonuses available please read the FAQ section for black week carefully and you should be able to find all of the information you need, you will find this information Here

You will also find within that thread information regarding the new 'Blackheart' core

Lava core will become active when then new Rok region is released.

As for the Penumbral gem, This is a new 'Special' gem, Obtaining this and equipping it will grant you the following bonuses

+50% Battle point bonus
+5% plates of armour bonus
+5% Damage Vs players

Thank you. I scoured the FAQs before making my post, and it didn't give any specifics on the new gem. So that's why I asked for more details.

But again, what are Shimetrine Cores and Rubelite Cores?

Shimertrine was a typing error and as you suspected is actually the Shimerite core.
