Feedback It's a Wonderful Strife

It stinks that you lose your aura of protection when you use a dungeon guide. Not fun for smaller ships trying to complete the quests!

 

The way that the dungeon works regarding helpers made no sense last year, and it remains the same in 2025. Once we pick one of the three helpers and start building them up, we still have many times we go in, and the wrong helper is assigned to us. So we have to leave and reenter the portal, often multiple times. It is very inefficient. Also, many players play this event with specific goals each day, since many players have to budget their time on Seafight. One of those goals is *not* to waste their precious time trying to play the dungeon with the wrong helper. I'm pretty certain this point was mentioned last year too, and was ignored.

 

So after ten tries I finally got past level 5, then I did it again - this took two hours! And level 6? Killed immediately, both times. And each time we get ONE memory. How are we supposed to give Loki five flipping-hundred to complete his quest? This is absolutely impossible. It would take months to achieve this! Whomever designed this deserves a severe BOP on the head.

I agree! I did not know this and lost one just 15 minutes after I started it. All this jumping between maps is a big pain in the rear!!

 

The voucher came out today and they made it a customized code in our email. I don't mind that, but the items in it are lacking for such a major event. We get 1 day of the various top end crew and 2 obsolete cannons (and some other things that aren't worth mentioning). I know it's free stuff, but it seems like it's a bit lite for the XMas event.

I hear you know Rymar it's a pain, but I have been doing that, but i barely make it to the first boss Ill keep trying like you said thank you for the info tho...it helps

 

I have two questions regarding the Frozen Abyss (dungeon) map: (1) does an "Eternal Survivor" ranking of "60" mean the player has completed 60 straight waves without being killed or logging out from the dungeon, and (2) assuming the answer to (1) is "yes" - right now, we are only 32 hours into this event, and one player leads my server with 60. How??? That is completing the entire dungeon 4 times straight, which takes a very long time! It also takes a very long time to build up the buffs for your assistant. If someone played for many, many hours to do that, why would they do it so early in this event? There are 34 days left, so running up a high total right now is meaningless. It looks suspicious, and raises questions.

 

I remember this dungeon from last year. The market had a "karen" figurehead <--(odd name, maybe it is supposed to be "kraken"), that gave you 5% more dodge. That's worth a lot in a PvP game. Well - I didn't start trying for it until a bit later in the event. You had to reach 500 memories to open the market to buy it. I just about killed myself trying for it. I know I am a good player, but I never could finish the 15-wave full dungeon <-(which still irks me). So I had to settle for finishing 10+ waves many, many times, in order to get to 500 memories. It took forever to do it, but I made it. And if I remember correctly, last year - on my server - some player finished 320 waves or so without getting sunk. That's over 21 full dungeon map completions! I really don't see how a human being could accomplish the feat. But to your point - yes, 500 is a crazy goal, isn't it? I know the event runs for over a month in length, but still....

You can get more Christmas Memories from 10th and 15th wave bosses.

However to reach that far within the Dungeon you need to work on your companions which mean go in, do your best, fail, upgrade your companion and repeat - pure grind.

Once your companion is set on a "decent level" (where you are happy with his performance) try purchasing your own buffs (these last 24 hours) so the map can become easier for you.

Regarding the quest trust me, within 30+ days of the event you'll be able to complete them all - unless you decide to give up.

I personally can easily solo 5th wave boss and I am sunk on wave 7-8 but that's because my companion (Bob) is on low level and I do not use any of "my own" buffs.

Unfortunately I do not have plenty time to play right now due to work and moderating but I'll dive more into the Dungeon within the upcoming weekend, so... don't give up pirate! You can do it!

Do you see that "square" in the middle of othe map (look mini map) this is Boss movement zone, which mean you can go out of it (lets say bottom left) and heal with Amulets then come back and approach it slowly killing all minions that spawned gathering even more HP (if you use Bob). All of this will let you defeat 5th wave boss with easy even if you have your Bob set with 1/10 1/10 1/10.

i feel the rewards for candy canes and gingerbread is pretty low for a festive spirit ship with 920 mill hp 50 candy canes if solo and 200 gingerbread if solo i feel this should be changed as this is waaaaaay to low

Rymar was saying that you get more from wave 10 and 15 in reply to someone saying they only got 1 from wave 5. So wave 5, 10, 15 get memories.

Chrismas Memories can be obtained from wave 5, 10 and 15 bosses - this did not change from last year at all.

Hello there Pirate,

In response to the questions you raise regarding the dungeon.

Firstly, Yes you are correct as the ranking of 60 means that a player has completed 60 waves straight without being sunk or leaving the dungeon area, so completing the waves 4 times will give a player this rank number.

Secondly, Please be aware that this is quite easily attainable if a player has spent time within the dungeon and has built up the helpers to a point which makes completing the dungeon not that difficult, and as such, if the 15 waves can be done with ease once then spending the time to complete the waves 4 times is not out of the question.
It all comes down to the time you want to put into this aspect of the current event to achieve a high rank score.

There is nothing suspicious about a player who wants to spend gametime in the dungeon during the first few days of the event, It may seem to you a bit early in the event however, the above is not impossible to achieve after a couple of days.

The last time we had an active dungeon I myself built up my helpers to almost maxed out after working in there for several hours in one day so I can confirm it is indeed possible.
