I think the event is great to be fair there is a lot of variety and its been fun to play,

Just 1 thing tho. I was shooting a Trendy Twenty Cake and got sunk off after doing 1.2billion damage solo, and within seconds it regained full health. I personally don't agree with this especially within such short space of time

 

1) Posting this again from last Sunday:

The FAQs state we have quests and "normal" quests, and that daily quests reset every day at 12 noon, local server time. What is considered to be a "normal" quest?

You are supposed to be psychic, mate! Didn't you read the "very thorough" explanation about this portal? Answer: no, because they didn't give us one. Holy cow! This portal would have confused anyone.

A normal quest will remain active on your ship until it is completed (unless it has a time condition) and has an Icon like this.
Normal quests are not repeatable.

A daily quest as I'm sure you know resets over time periods, which allows you to complete the quest numerous times, they will reset over 6, 12 or 24 hours and will show an Icon like this.

Hi Rymar,

You can enter solo, I have completed it once, just have to make sure I do it every day to complete the event. So it's not that I can't complete it I suppose, was just moaning, but I still wish it wasn't in event completion. The issue is, if I don't pick the same game or I get sunk and fail, not sure I can try it again the same evening. We will see.

Well, I guess that's me done with this event.

There is no way I'll get last shot on 20 gifts. They are 600m HP and have many people shooting them. If that's all I did for the rest of the event I might (might) complete the quest.

Then there's the Map of Forever. It's right there in the name. It will take forever to do that 10 times. The mini-games don't count towards the quest or the event completion only the group map. I tried one mini game (tiger in the middle, element towers in 4 corners). No idea what to do, the only instruction is 'pick the right ammo', but using the same ammo as the element or the opposite element, neither did more damage. I some how completed it, but I don't know what I did to complete it. And then I'm supposed to do more mini-games to get to the group map? Which I would have to solo and only once a day? How can we get 10 of these done?

These are supposed to be fun, but they are not. Just randomly shooting at things until it tells you it finished is not a fun experience.

Could we have the chances of getting the puzzle piece be increased to 3% dmg on the JormunGrowr or something of some sort, as I've shoot multiple times the npc alone and with my guild mates and none of us have received the puzzle piece yet.

All portals have 10 lives in it, so you can fail several times, no problem at all.

Ahoy Bawdyn!

You dont have to sink 10 Gifts at all, you can do the Golem Mini game (in Map of Forever), once each golem is defeated he spawn a Black Rock - these will add up to your quest!

Regarding the mini games (portals) I will sit down later and type them all for ya.

The event currently last for 12 days, the event completion require 10 big portals to be done, so theres still enough time, dont lose hope!

In order to access MoF you need to own Key of Forever and Energy (both found in the market if you dont own them yet), once you've got them simply jump to SH and press on the Key to acces this map.

Ahoy **The*Boss*FBI**!

Please be aware that the Jormungrow puzzle piece can be found within the glitters (meat) dropped by him.

Once Jormugrow is damage he summon his body parts that damage all players around - the more damage is dealt to his head the more meat pieced he drops.

Your task is to collect the meat pieces for additional reward and a chance of a puzzle.

So how long does it take for the minigames in map of forever reset ? Am I missing something ?'Kindda hard to finish quests when you cant go play the maps again.

 

The reset happens when you buy a new temporal buff. So when the buff has ran out you can buy a new one in the shop and do the map of forever once again. You can only do it once every 24 hours ( duration of the buff )

Map of Forever (MoF) Portal(s) guide​

Portal of Soul

Within this portal your task is quite simple, defeat the monster before it kills you!

Recommended: Hailstorm (when in close range) + Bloodlust.

Shoot the big boss and make sure that your helper (friendly NPC) does not die.

Portal of Mind

Very similar to Portal of Soul, within this one you need to defeat the Rat King.

Recommneded: Windstorms (as you can outrange this NPC).

Portal of Space

Golems! The hardest mini game!

Within this mini game you need to pay attention to your mini map.

Within your mini map you can see 4 Golems with different Nature Type: Fire, Earth etc.

Your task? Make sure that one of the golems has separated off the group and attack him. Once the big one is defeated it will spawn 2 smaller ones. When the Medium Golems are defeated mini golems will spawn.

Recommended: Use opposite elemental ammo. Attacking Fire Golem? Use Aqua. etc. Make sure the golem you attack is fully defeated (all stages) before you start fighting another one.

Hint: Black Rocks spawned by golems provide additional HP (heals you when defeated) so it is worth using them! These also count towards your quests that require you to defeat "Black Rocks / Gifts".

Portal of Power

One of the easiest mini games, within this portal you'll face the tiger.

Your task is very simple, use any kind of ammo to damage the tiger.

Once the tiger disappears take a look at 4 elemental statues. One of them will have a completely different name.

Example: There is Fire and Water statues, if the tiger is hiding under the Water statue then its name will display as - Bedeviled Water Statue.

Make sure you "defeat" the statue that the tiger is hidden in, when done he will reappear on the same coordinates as before.

Repeat the process again, hit the tiger, hit the statue, sink the tiger.

Recommended: Bloodlust + Hailstorm use.​

Portal of Reality

Safehaven escape! Help your fellow quest-givers safely run from the danger!

Destroy packs of NPCs located around the map before they sink all quest-givers!

Recommended: Bloodlust + Swiftstone.​

Portal of Time

Moderately easy mini game. Here your tasks is quite simple, defeat all targets and do not die!

This mini game consist of 7 waves of NPCs that try to sink you (and explode upon touch!).

Recommended: Bloodlust + Swiftstone. Additionally you can repair yourself between waves + use VP and HP amulets. This map map require use of Dragonfires.

Friend Invitation

Having trouble with a mini-game? Ask your friend to do it for you!

How? Its simple! You and your friend need to own Key of Forever and the Energy buff.

You need to be within your MoF and your friend in SH.

Find your friend on matey list and press on "Invite to join personal map".

When you do that your friend will get a request to give you a hand which will cost him 250 Safanad Coins.

When the invitation is accepted your friend can jump into any of your portals.

Note: You can't join him in the same one!

You should be able to do them once every 24 hours.

Your fellow pirate is correct, you can do them all again once your Energy Buff finished and you've purchased another one.

In the MoF, how do we know what mini-game is at each portal? If we succeed in the mini-game can we then do the group map linked to that mini-game (are they linked?)? Or do we have to do all mini-games before we can do a group map? Can you go into a group map without playing a mini-game?

As for which ones to do, I see the Golem one is a way to get the Black Rocks, but once I have those, which group map is possible to do solo and which mini-game(s) need to be done to get in that map. I'm looking to do the minimum needed to do the event completion.

Once a mini game is done (eg. Portal of Mind) it will be come inactive and will display in the middle.

You will be rewarded with a Jewel of X (eg. Fire, Bone, Speed).

You need 6 Jewels to craft a big portal (group map).

The Group Map depends on which Jewels you received as a reward - it could be different everyday, or you could have a chance to select from different options (if you were lucky to drop different Jewels).

So to answer your question, yes you have to do them all to do a group map.

Note: Once your Energy buff finish all unused Jewels will dissapear from your account.

You can't join any group map if you didnt play all mini games (portals) unless your friend invite you to do his group map.

All mini-games are designed to be done "solo" - all of them you should be able to do without any major issues as we all are equal within the MoF.

What ship designs can be acquired through the Map of Forever?

Please be aware that we are not informed of additional loot rewards - everything provided to us has been shared within the FAQ.

Well, you would think these portals would work correctly, since they are fairly familiar (I've seen at least some of them before). Wrong! I kept playing the "Portal of Reality" (which actually is the one with the burning ships). Guess what? The "Power to Protect" doesn't stay on my boat when I enter the portal. It simply "vanishes". What's the point? I've tried multiple times and it keeps vanishing. However, I finished one big portal yesterday by myself, but it took "forever" in the same-named MoF map <--(and I'm tipping my pirate hat to funny pirate Bawdyn)! I'll most likely do it ten flipping times by myself, but "good grief Charlie Brown". Make these things work right, and give us all of the information that we need to play them! Don't make us stare at the disappearing lion in that one map and wonder: what? P.S. We keep getting told to play with other mates. I play solo, and rarely talk to others. But even if I wanted to, a ton of the players on my server speak non-English (and talk non-stop for long periods of time without getting warned, since no Mod is on). That doesn't work well in trying to find someone. They may well be bilingual, but still....

 

ok, Rymar, about this parade again. been there, done like you said many times and still nothing. just cannot have that kind of fast reaction/fast boat. what is the reason not to change this to make it possible to other humans also?
