    Does the equipment that a captain has affect stats for the next tier? Or is it a waste to have good equipment on when you go up a tier?

    Hello there Pirate,

    No it does not affect the next tier, It is recommended that you remove better equipment and attach low quality equipment when upgrading your captain.
