Sunk on PvE Server 1 Global

Anybody know why guild members can now sink you on the PvE Server 1 Global map? Two of them have sunk me 3 times in the last half hour. I'm not in pirate mode, and, it wasn't happening earlier today. Something change? Thanks..

The special server: PvE Server 1 - Global. I've been playing on it since I started playing again a few months ago. First time this has happened since I began using this server. When I came across the first guy again, the computer wouldn't let me attack him, but, he was able to sink me again. Commonwealth maps. Thanks.

I see.. are you positive that you did no had your pvp active? Perhaps an area effect sunk your ship?

The crossed swords had 1 green sword and 1 red sword. I thought that meant PvE. The logbook identified the players who sunk my ship. An area effect for 3 kills in 3 different areas - on 2 different maps - is unlikely. Me not being able to retaliate is very suspicious, too.

You must have done something to trigger PvP mode on.

PvE is applied only when your swords are GREEN, as soon as this icon change you are in PvP mode.

In order to go back into PvE (if you did trigger PvP by mistake) you need to perform a logout / in.

I mistook the red/green crossed swords icon for the state of my ship - when it's only the button to activate PvP mode. I don't recall the crossed red swords being by my ship during any of this. If I see it, I immediately head for the safe haven and await the 10 minutes for the red swords to disappear. They're gone now, so, I guess I'm PvE again. Is there any place I can look to verify the mode I'm in? I've got so many buffs uptop that they've crowded out the mode icon. Thanks for your help. I guess you can close now.

Indeed, the green/red sword icon within your 'use items on yourself' tab will switch you from PVE into PVP mode if clicked on, this is likely what happened in this case.

You should be able to view the mode you are currently in within your status box, If you have too many icons here you can go into the configurator and expand the status box by click and drag on the white square at the bottom right corner.

Also, As Rymar pointed out earlier, If you have activated PVP and you are sitting in safe haven waiting for 10 minutes to return to PVE you could instead simply log out your ship, then log back in to return to PVE mode.
