Good evening folks. I'm sorry if the thread is not in the right place but as most of you are playing it longer than I actually do, then you might be helping me a bit with my decision.. I'm registered from 2010 but I barely played it seriously and as I want to do it now.. I found the server I'm on (Europe Global 3 ) is really unpopulated and the chat is really dead.. I can't even find a guild to have fun and roll with as it is really boring to be playing alone at first place when you have no knowledge about the game and you are getting killed every minute, 10 times in a row already by the way.. All I have is the big elite ship, 15 55 cannons, few elite ammunation from previous events and so on, oh and ehm.. I'm just level 7 who have no idea how to obtain gold faster to start my mission.

Do you think I will be losing a lot if I start on the American server where I will be really hoping to find someone who I can play with or I should keep playing on this one and pray to meet the happiness and the fun out there? Thanks lads.

Well, I think since you are a level 7 and haven't really spent much time on your boat, i think it will be worth it if you moved to the American servers. Global America 2 is very active and I can in good conscience recommend it to you.

    Plenty of turks :p

UK is an okay server, but i have to stress and say there are few 'small' players on it.
Tangenting has made it slightly unbalanced.. well of course it has, UK went up like 100+ maxed ships in a week. Impossible for a player of my status to compete.

But your welcome to come :), im in TFO which is kinda the noob friendly guild. We have some strong players, but most small-medium players come to us so its a great environment to build up your ship in.

<-- TFO... us east awight. yer boat small enough that ya wouldn't be out too much. ya can bid a big buc with minimal amount of gold. pcannons may take a bit but it dont seem to take as long as it used to to get to level 10 pirate. my 2 wooden nickles on it.

Thanks for the positive answers guys. Back in the time I was apart of a guild and they helped me to bid at the night time for the big premium ship, that's how I got it fast. I didn't really played a lot but still everyone is saying the current state of the game is really hard to start from the beggining. That's why I don't want to walk blind towards nowhere ;/

Finding a good server to play on is key, as if you don't like the server, you won't have as much fun no matter how strong you are.
Some servers are to populated and you'll really struggle to progress.
While UK isn't deserted but it dosen't have that many players on compared to gb1, german server etc.
You can probably win all your decks, equipment, elite ship for a few gold, pcannons bit tougher.
Spend alot of time shiny hunting you'll slowly get stronger probably the best way to make pearls for lower levels aside from the odd good event.

Can you tell me what is the estimate value in gold to be bid on a big elite ship?

On my server, sometimes you'll see big buccs with no bidders on at end of hour, you'll rarely ever see anyone bother bidding on lil buccs, Bid like 11 gold if your on UK that is.

  10. If I were you i would stay away from US1 east controlled by 3-5 guilds and they don't seem to open membership very often.

They also control all the events with their mob actions; not lots of fun to deal with; also makes it hard to level up.

My understanding is that Hungary has cash cost much lower than others; that may be of interest to you.

    Hope it helps m8t

Damn, you were right mate. I did a bid on few elite items ( even if I don't know what they are for at first place :D ) and I won all of them, also the big elite ship for 1000 gold. And I was considering to get it with pearls.. it is too easy nowadays to get the most wanted ship, eh? Anyways, I'm currently on England 1 but I will be considering if I would like to play on this one or on the american 2 :)

With a bit of patience you can alao get full elite decks for cheap.
but welldone :) if i ever see ya around will gladly help out, names same as on here.

Getting pcannons can be quite a challenge best to use pearls for them, but skills & castles are the longest grind.
if you have any questions on aspects of the 'new' seafight ill gladly help.
your welcome to join TFO, fun friendly guild.

Thanks mate. At first place I will be staying in the PVE map, making myself known with the basics mechanics of the game. Can you tell me if it worth to get any design at first place and when the happy, mega happy hours are happening? I know they are random but I really want to know how randomly they appear ? :)

You can buy some strong skins in payment, also there are a few designs which cost gold but give no bonuses & some that cost pearls but aren't worth it imo.

MHH happens every sunday between 5-7pm GMT, well in the 8 or so weeks ive been back playing its always happened between then.
Happy hour is randomly during the week but usually a similar time also.

On first sunday of every month, so last sunday this month - admirals & level 4 carpenter come in the market, only time you can buy them.

Oh, I see. So if I'm getting pearls I do better get them at the sunday between the time you stated? And yeh', I've seen them admirals in the market before few days for 10k pearls :) At first place do I need only admiral or 55 cannons and shoot with elite ammunation or do I have to start somehow different than that? Would be nice if we can have a chat in game because I don't want to spam this thread, ehm.. :)

There are 5 types of Pcannons now - 50s - same damage less range compared to 55s.
    55s - better range than 50s,
Admirals - same damage/range as 55s. But for every hollow shot you fire you get 1 elp/exp per cannon so if you have 200 of these you'll get 200 elp/200exp per hollow shot - which is why there so worth it - Admirals can't crit though you can still crit if you have crit bonuses though.

60s - Same range as 55S - fire 5 damage more per 60 with elite ammo - if you fire flares 80 damage. Can be upgraded to 10.

Voodoo cannons - Not sure on these yet, i think they have same range & damage as 60s but also give 20% extra chance for crits will look into that.

So ideal would be have a set of 60s for fighting, admirals for farming. Of course this is very expensive so its best to just get a set of pcannons then work on skills/castles instead of focusing all your efforts on getting 2 sets of pcannons

The next time admirals will be out is in april so you have plenty of time to build up resources for then, 55s come out every sunday.
60s can be brought in certain payment packages or found in blackmarket during events.

    Agreed sorry mods :)
I'm not on the Sea at the moment, what is your IGN? so i can whisper you when were next both on :)
