Ice in the Sunshine​

Ice in the Sunshine event will start on Thursday, 7th July at 12 noon and will run until Tuesday, 19th July at 12 noon.

All times are local server times.

The “Ice in the Sunshine” event features the following:

• Base event: 1 event ship and 2 admirals
• Group map: “Ancestral Call”
• 2 rankings: One for the base event and one for the group map (both are rewarded at the end of the event)
• 2 Quest chains with 5 quests each (4 normal, 1 daily)
• Event chests
• Shipwrecks
• Event shop

General Info

During the event, you can hunt the event ship “Raven's Omen” on maps 5 – 50.

“Shield Maiden” and “Might of Odin” spawn after a certain amount of “Raven's Omen” has been sunk.

All event ships must be shot with elite ammunition.​

Event NPCs

• Raven's Omen:
  • Depending on how much damage you cause, you are rewarded with EXP, Radiant or Cursed Souls, and Pearls, Crowns, or Yulong Coins.
  • The Player who inflicts the most damage receives Cursed or Radiant Souls and Reputation with Sigurd.
  • The player who does the last receives Cursed or Radiant Souls.
• Shield Maiden:
  • Depending on how much damage you cause, you are rewarded with EXP, Radiant or Cursed Souls, and Pearls, Crowns, or Yulong Coins.
  • The Player who inflicts the most damage receives Cursed or Radiant Souls, Reputation with Sigurd, Ancient Emblems, and either Pearls or a small change Worldbreaker cannon level 3.
  • The player who does the last receives Cursed or Radiant Souls.
• Might of Odin:
  • Depending on how much damage you cause, you are rewarded with EXP, Radiant or Cursed Souls, and Pearls, Crowns, or Yulong Coins.
  • The Player who inflicts the most damage receives Cursed or Radiant Souls, Reputation with Sigurd and either Pearls, or a small change the design Radiant Drakkar (fallback: Worldbreaker cannons level 3)
  • The player who does the last receives Cursed or Radiant Souls.

Event Chests

In the Event Treasure chests, you find many useful items like Burning Ice ammunition, Taureau and Simbi Amulets, Triton’s and Poseidon’s Crowns, Dragonfire, Cursed or Radiant souls, and other items. ​

Shipwrecks

The shipwrecks must be shot with harpoons. The player who inflicts the most damage gets many useful items such as Burning Ice ammunition, Crystals, Black Powder, Cursed or Radiant souls, Worldbreaker cannons level 0, and other items.​

Ancestral Call (group map)

Once you have collected enough ancient emblems you are able to access the “Ancestral Call” map from the Safe Haven by speaking to Loreena Barrett.

After you choose the role you want to play (“Damage Dealer” and Tank”) and the team is full you are teleported to the “Ancestral Call” map where you face the boss “Fossegrim”.

The goal in the first phase is it to reduce the HP of “Fossegrim” to 50%. The helper NPC “Falki the Brave” helps you and heals the player with the lowest HP.

Be careful, “Fossegrim” will spawn his own helper who will attack “Falki the Brave” and freeze him in place.

There will also be damage zones that spawn throughout the phase, “Fossegrim” will receive damage over time while he is within the zone, so use them to your advantage!

The second phase starts when the HP of “Fossegrim” reaches 50% hitpoints.

The goal in this phase is to help “Fossegrim” against “Falki the Blind” and his helpers.

“Fossegrim” will always follow the Tank during this phase.

Zones will appear throughout the map, one type will heal “Fossegrim” when he is within them, and the other type is a damage zone that inflicts damage to all who enter it.

The longer you stay in phase 2 (which ends when “Fossegrims” HP is reduced to 10%), the higher the rank is.​

Ammunition

Burning Ice ammunition causes more damage against all event ships.​

Quests

You can accept quests by speaking to Sigurd Lundgren and Eona Norling (Safe Haven).

There are 2 Quest chains with 4 normal quests and 1 daily quest each.

The daily quests are reset each day at 12 pm (Local Server Time). ​

Post Event Compensation

The event keys are exchanged for normal chest keys and Cursed and Radiant souls for ammunition after the event.​

Description:

We were unprepared when our ancestors' envoys attacked, but no more. The time has come to strike back! We will show them a Viking's might! Hunt the Raven's Omen. Description:

Old Sigurd still rambling about our ancestors? I guess it's becoming a recurring theme. Although, this whole mess does feel like Ragnarok started early! Hunt down the Raven's Omen, they'll show you way to their leader the Shield Maiden. Bring them down for me, will ya? I want to finish my mead first.

Description:

Now that we've located the Shield Maiden, it's time to strike back and make her pay for the damage she caused! Beware, captain, this ship is not to be taken lightly, it's fierce and strong. Now go to Eona, she needs your help preventing more attacks from the ancestors' envoys. I am sure she'd welcome your help with Raven's Omen and the Shield Maiden.
