On Dark and Stormy Tides​

The event starts at Friday, 8th November at 12:00 noon and ends Monday, 11th November at 12:00 noon.

All times are local server times.

The On Dark and Stormy Tides event features the following:

• 2 event ships (1 normal and 1 admiral)
• 3 trader event ships
• Event chests
• Shipwrecks
• limited event currency
• 2 event rankings
• 4 Quests (3 normal, one daily every 8 hours)

! Note !
If you have over 400 Barrels you will not be able to activate Aura of Protection, and if its already activated you will lose it.

General Info

The “On Dark and Stormy Tides” event is a small hunt event where you can hunt 2 event ships, Grog Bootlegger and Captain Ron on maps 5 – 60.

Captain Ron spawns after a certain amount of Grog Bootlegger has been sunk.

3 Trader event ships, Smugglin´ Jack, Smugglin´ Jim and Smugglin' Johnny, spawn on the Sea chart every 3.5 hours for 30 minutes.

All event ships must be shot with elite ammunition.

On every megaserver, there is a limited amount of Barrels of Grog available.

The more of the currency is distributed in the game, the less event ships spawn.

Once all Barrels of Grog are in the game, event ships don´t spawn anymore.

If a player is attacked by another player, the enemy can loot the Barrels of Grog of the victim. How many Barrels of Grog change the owner is determined by the stock of both players.

There is a safe amount of Barrels of Grog that cannot be stolen by other players.

Every 2 hours you lose 12% of your Barrels of Grog, which can be avoided with a buff: “Grog Master”.

NPCs

• Grog Bootlegger
  • Depending on how much damage cause, you are rewarded with EXP, Barrels of Grog, Pearls, Crowns, Orichalkum, Safanad or Yulong Coins.
  • The player who inflicts the most damage receives Lion's Bulwark, Grog, Marauder of the Seven Seas Ship Design (Fallback: Crowns).
  • The player who does the last shot receives Elite Kokelau Ship Design (Fallback: Crowns or Bastion lv 1) or Lord's Booty Bag.
• Captain Ron
  • Depending on how much damage cause, you are rewarded with EXP, Barrels of Grog, Pearls, Crowns, Orichalkum, Yulong or Safanad Coins.
  • The player who inflicts the most damage receives Soul Eater Ammo, Bastion Lv 4 recipe or Elite Kilimatu Ship Design. (Fallback reward for Elite Kilimatu: Pearls or the design Elite Kokelau.) (Fallback reward for Elite Kokelau: Bastion level 2 or crowns)
  • The player who does the last shot (but at least 1% damage) receives Soul Eater ammunition, Bastion Lv 5 recipe or the Ship Design Double Cask. (Fallback reward for the Double Cask: The design Grog Racer), (Fallback reward for Grog Racer: Bastion Lv 5 recipe or Bastion Lv 3.

Event Chests

In the event chests you find many useful items, Soul Eater ammunition, Dragonfire lv 2, Simbi and Taureau Amulets, Bastion lv 4, Whirlpool, Teleportation, Blood of Inya and other items.

Shipwrecks

The player who inflicts the most damage gets many useful items such as Overlord level 2, Soul Eater ammunition, Super Armor plates, Damask Harpoon, Bastion lv 4, Dragonfire and other items.

Quests

• Nautica:
  • 4 quests - 3 normal quests and 1 repeatable (every 8 hours).

Ship Designs

• Elite Kilimatu (Ranking reward)
• Double Cask (Possible Loot)
• Marauder of the Seven Seas (Possible Loot)
• Elite Kokelau (Possible Loot)

Post Event Compensation

The event keys are exchanged for normal chest keys, Barrels of Grog for Soul Eater ammunition.​
