And before you answer, keep in mind that doomhammers, devastators, firestorms, and worldbreakers are very, very, old cannons that are now totally worthless. I have a baby boat that has sailed for less than 9 months, and it has a *lot* of lower-level overlords sitting unused in my hold!
I kept seeing this nonsense for so long that I went back weeks ago and tested my old devastator level 6 cannons against the newer cannons, and they stink badly against just my overlords, not to mention my thunderbolts! (And the doomhammers, etc., are still "updated prizes" for using the 'league of captains"). I just wanted to ask what logical mind would even remotely want these old throwaway cannons. The costly package below should just insult our intelligence even further by making them 55-pound and 60-pound cannons!

well if you know anything about the game you know you can break those down for other things like cores to better your ship :D just a fair thing you might want to read up on how to get those items .

Your fellow pirate is correct, these cannons are very useful when it comes to core crafting.

You are funny, Mr. "Forum Apprentice". If you know anything about this game, then you know they are worthless. One level 5 devastator when reclaimed yields 30 shards. Using the above example in my screenshot, 500 x 30 = 15,000/ 10,000 shards per core = only 1.5 cores, and the max for a ship is 280 cores. You aren't even making a dent, mate! Plus, the best core (Starjute) doesn't even require those cannons. (You can craft them as a noob using admirals, and maybe you didn't know that). I maxxed my cores out long ago, when the question was asked by another player (and Rymar answered) on how to craft Starjutes. Again, Bigpoint is trying to fool players. They should (at the very least) offer thunderbolts, high-level overlords, high-level bastions (for farming), or even rift cannons (for thunderbolt upgrades). Using these other cannons for worthless cores is lame, just like buying 20 thunderbolt level 2s and losing 10 of them immediately after using the level 3 upgrade recipes (which also requires your rift cannons)! P.S. F.Y.I. - if you reclaim shards using overlords, you can get moon iron shards, which one could at least use for 8.4% more cannon damage, if that's your thing.
