Pirate Tergrinder posted a question recently regarding this issue, and he made a valid point. He was told that once a player is sunk, and they immediately activate an aura, if "damage over time" is still in effect, the aura is destroyed. I'm not arguing against that explanation, but if it works this way, it is designed wrong. Once a player is sunk, their boat reaches "zero hit points" for a moment in time, and they have to reenter the seachart and repair back. There should not be any "carryover effect", since their boat reached zero. By having a "carryover effect", their boat (in effect) reaches "negative hit points". That makes no sense. You cannot be sunk and still have hit points. I hope someone wlll review this, and change it to a more logical approach. Thank you.

As this issue with the aura being lost in this way has been resolved I will close this thread.
