Hey Rymar, which is better to have when shooting NPC's dodge gem or prevent damage gem or both, and what about pet gems as well just looking for a good set up

    Ahoy -PUSAT-!

When it comes to PvE Damage Prevention should be your main choice on both ship and pet.

As a secondary def. ship gem I would still take Dodge Chance as its always good to have - in case another player attack you for example.

Regarding a secondary gem for Pet there are 3 options which depends on the NPCs you are hunting (this is something you need to test yourself as all NPCs are different), so for example:

    - Dodge Chance - if your ship still takes quite a bit damage even with both def. ship gems equipped
    - Hit Probability - if your ship can't make "full" damage yet (the easiest way to test it would be to equip dodge gem and when shooting an NPC activate Hailstorm action item - if your damage increased then you should consider using hit prob.)
    - Critical Damage - the most common option when it comes to PvE

Don't forget about equipping your ship with a special gem Aventurine and Pet special gem Larimar.

Why 5% Range of Vision (Larimar) you may ask? Well, mixing this gem with Telescope castle can be quite useful when looking for specific event NPC.

Regarding the event NPCs most of them do not require that much Hit Prob. so you may want to sink a few note your average damage and then replace it with Critical Damage - if your damage did not change (regular hits) then stick to Critical Damage as your 2nd offensive gem on ship.

    Hope this helps!
