Scurvy Knave

I saw this NCP sailing around. It gives no rewards at all for sinking it. What is it?

A while ago we've added some "races" within the game, which take place on weekly basis.

There are two of them currently within the game:

• Sail and Deliver -> Click!
• The Fast and the Freebooters -> Click!

These "races" can be completed only by one player per challange, so if we both attempted to do it and you've done it as first my quest would be cancelled.

The NPCs mentioned by you are a part of Sail and Deliver race, your task is to sink X of them and gather some currency (dropped by these NPCs) - once done you need to be the 1st to redeem such quest on the entire server.

What rewards can you get you may ask, as for now there are two unique player titles to be obtained: Wave Rider and Ravaging Raider.

Thanks for the info. I got n reward for sinking the two I shot and didn't see anything dropped. I'll read the links and see what I can learn. I did a search for the name of the NCP before asking and it wasn't found.
....
On reading the FAQ, I think I needed to start the quest for the rewards to be given or dropped.

Correct, in order to obtain the desired currency you need to accept the quest found in SH1.

So in short, you need to sail to SH1, accept the quest, complete the task mentioned within such quest and come back to the quest-giver without using the teleportation item.

If you manage to be the first person on your server to complete it (in this case whole UMS) then you are awarded with a player title.
