There is always complaints about the question threads becoming discussions, so why don't you create a forum area where we can have discussions. Then if nobody else is interested in it, they don't have to read it.

That forum is for giving feedback on the game, not random discussion. From it's name, the General Discussion would be a closer match, but it only seems to have Event discussions.

I'm thinking of a place where you can direct people when a question thread starts turning into a discussion. Maybe you can rename the current General Discussion forum to Event Discussion (so it keeps all existing threads) and then create a new General Discussion where people can post what they want without any moderation other than the base rules like no illegal or obscene language.

One pertinent question remains: can a player open a thread for long-term discussion within this forum, and be assured it won't be quickly closed?? I've opened "general feedback" threads - "multiple times" - that have been quickly closed. That's an absolute fact, and is not what was just stated. Any person can go look at the number of threads (from multiple posters) in "general feedback" that have been closed with a "padlock".
