Mr.D I agree with you 100% it happen to me as well, and the fact that no one is shooting the Wyrms and they seems to be everywhere , like we have said before Bp knows how to mess up a event

 

Yes - and with so few people playing this event on my server (or so it appears), there aren't that many people that want to band together to shoot the Wyrms. So we are left to solo them, and with them hitting 300k+ per shot, few people try. Plus, you have to hunt to find the "Green Saint" npcs, yet the Wyrms are announced, and you can easily see them on the mini-compass rose. But as we know, nobody wants to shoot them. It's messed up....

 

As I said in a previous post about the last event, these npc which totally negate all the work, time, money spent on shoring up our defenses are a total nightmare. I'm not happy to solo a green saint, but I will, I can use a few amulets, but I can't hardly get near a wyrm before I'm almost dead. Again as also stated, not everyone is level 60, I know I'm not, so many folks are trying to daily quests in maps where there 2 and 3 wyrms shooting 300K and npc shooting anything up to 50k. It's a total joke, you again show your disdain for all players regardless now if they coin or not.

I'm level 59.. I'm not going to 60 as I tend to sail alone and won't pass the quest to kill 10 raid map bosses which have 100s of millions of HP, so I'm not doing dailies, I can stay out of these maps, but many players do want to try and reach the top level.

I think how players have been treated is abysmal.

I totally agree with you M8, and the biggest thing is for me is that my quest for the event is 13/20... with days left I hope more quest pop up.... but you are right this event is a major bust

There are always two sides of the coin, on one part I do understand what you mean but you can't only take a look at one side of it.

Take a completely different approach to it and look from a different angle, so... your damage prevention or dodge do not make any difference - you still get hit 300 000 right? Sounds a lot - I know.

But if your def. do not play a major role in damage received then perhaps you should change to 100% offence by using Storm Lanterns, Critical Gem, HP Gem, Repair Gem, HP castle etc? Did you try that? I did and it works fine with me on Wyrms.

Another option on Wyrms would be to get your friend to heal you from time to time.

Regarding your level up, trust me it is not that bad (if you have correct preset), and most importantly it doesn't have to be done in one go!

Thanks very much for the offer of help Rymar, it really is appreciated and I may take you up on it, if nothing else but to find out who you are, since you have me at a disadvantage lol.

I have a lantern set up which works fine, and I'm sure most players do too, I just get fed up switching presets all the time, I'm a bit of a lazy pirate lol. However, and I know you take my point, and understand it, but I do not think this is the way to go, if we spend the time and effort of upgrading gems etc, we should be able to take advantage in that.

Hello, in the Event ticker where it says we have to use 5M Burning Ice ammunition, mine is at 862,632! I have been using this ammo alternatively since the event started. Help!

 

What I don't understand is that there are (supposedly) new players on here, who don't know what "ablative plating" is, or how to use it. Why the developers absolutely refuse to fix things that are broken (or not working realistically) remains an ongoing question. And thus, we are left with all of these "workarounds".

 

I tried to do one of these "multi-map coordinate quests". When I finally reached the fifth set of coordinates, it would not accept my sitting squarely on the red dot. I did get logged out one time during this process, while sitting in Safe Haven. But does that cause the mission to fail? My quest was still open, and I "did not die".
