I've seen this in many instances before, but I'm now reporting it. I counted 17 partially-shot event npcs in the map I was in, and I wasn't in it very long. I don't know if players are mining ELP, or (in this case) puzzle pieces, or what. It isn't players shooting npcs and getting sunk midway through the process either, because this has been going on for a long time. And I doubt this is legitimately done by human players, but I'll leave that to someone else to determine. In the interest of fair game play, I'm reporting it. Thank you.

    Hello there Pirate,

There can be a number of reasons you will see this, The main reason is that in many instances event Npc's do not have to be sunk by a player in order to gain rewards, often some damage is enough.
There is also the situation of lower level players getting sunk during Npc battle as you mention (which is more common than you may realise).
Npc's are also often left sailing half sunk when a quest requires damage only as per many quests within the current event.

You may also notice half shot shipwrecks etc as the same applies.
As well as the sandstorm effects as pointed out by our fellow pirate "lude1962".

However thank-you for your feedback regarding the event.
As always if you suspect a player may not be sticking to the rules then please send details into support.
