The Pirate Cup "Predictions".

Regarding this last event, there was a "fortune teller" ranking, with rewards for the top finishers. I think I did pretty good overall on my picks. I posted a few days ago that I picked Spain to win the final, which they did, but the system showed my prediction in "red". I posted about this (with a screenshot), but never got an answer as to what happened with that. Did it get fixed? Or was I short-changed in my final ranking, and lost out on prizes? I just wanted to ask.

Also, several elite players on my server (who always seem to be near the top of the various player rankings), had very high rankings in this "fortune teller" contest. That sure looked fishy. Are we to think that elite players have a "crystal ball" for these things? And before you tell me, I couldn't report them to Support. Why? Two reasons: (1) their respective IDs do not show up in these rankings, and (2) most of them have names with strange fonts (which Seafight allows, for some reason), and I cannot spy them. So what do we do in cases like this?

The ranking and prediction reward issues were resolved on 20.7.26 and was announced in the patch notes posted Here.

Regarding your concern with rankings, they are closely monitored and any unusual behaviour is always looked into, We will however forward your concerns and feedback as a matter of concern.

Thank you, Mr-Amber. But it would also be the really proper thing to do if the player IDs were shown on all of these rankings. That way, we could report individual players that we may have questions about. As it currently stands, we can't do that when no IDs are shown, and the ship names are in strange fonts. We must rely on the Seafight back office to catch them, and it's obvious the game is very short-staffed. So some - if not many - will probably be missed. The methods used to detect cheating are always behind the cheaters (or so it seems).

If you are looking for a player's I.D. who has a place within an event ranking simply open the rankings section within the event ticker, you will see the list of players in the large box to the right along with that players rank points.

If you hover your mouse pointer over a players name you will then be shown that players server/I.D.

Providing you have tooltips switched on in your configurator.
