A decently built sub can outrange, stun, insane burst damage you, while being able to hide and run away on the surface. It doesn't make sense, I've used blackfire and torpedo dodge, and has made me question what even is the point of upgrading my surface boat when atlantis subs are this dominating in group fights.

I think there needs to be a negative buff on the surface, something along the lines of reduced speed or dodge. There should be a trade-off in its role, like a glass cannon, currently it outperforms every single aspect of a surface boat.

    What do you all think?

    Ahoy Doom999!

We are always happy to hear our Community opinion, please feel free to elaborate further on what changes would you and your fellow pirates like to see when it comes to PvP Sub vs. Ship.

Do you believe that a "Surface Debuff" would be enough? If so are the Submarine Speed and Dodge the main source of the problems you face? Or perhaps it is the Stealth + Range?

Please feel free to share your thoughts on this matter so we can form a note and forward it onto the team.

    Happy Sailing!

I've had group fights where a few subs can absolutely devour a full team. Right now, they are best at everything and I think there role needs to be a bit more refined.

Obviously, with them being subs, having a long range, and the ability to stun, a role more suited for long-range and sneaky encounters makes best suited for them. The tradeoff? Extremely low amount of dodge and a slight reduction in speed, so if they are caught off guard, they either take the sink or try to go invisible and run.

Especially with them being on surface, lore wise, it would make sense to have some debuffs and have their full strength in atlantis, it's not like ships can do it the same way.
