How much can the best ship hit a NPC? I calculated and the result is 975k. Is it possible? (Btw I can write the calculation if you want.)

Well please come with the calculations, seems pretty unlikely o_O

    Ahoy,

I can confirm that that amount of damage in the game is at the current time, not possible.

If you would like to post your calculation, I can attempt to correct this the best I can so that you understand how your damage is calculated.

Lets assume we can use all buffs and items. We are using cannon damage and critical damage gems on both ship and pet. Ship special gem is sunstone ,and pet special gem is amazonite. Also we are using aggression trainer. Shipwrights schematics, gunpowder flask, ferocious bookkeeper and military expert castles are level 8. We have all skills ,and we are using lock n loaded master skill. We have all trophies.
We would have 211,45% NPC cannon damage bonus.(Maximum value)
We would have 466 cannon slots.(Maximum value)
We would have 353 expansion slots.(Maximum value-50 because we are using level 3 commonwealth sellsword)
We are using 35 level 3 storm lanterns.
We would have 290,5% critical damage.(Maximum value-20% due to low expansion slots)
We are using 466 level 4 devastator cannons.
    We are using marauder ammunition.
    Calculations:
Base damage per cannon: 95(level 4 devastators)+129,6(marauder ammunition and ferocious bookkeeper castle)
=224,6(we have over 100% hit probability)
    Lets add cannon damage bonus:
    224,6*311,45/100=699,5167
    Then lets calculate crit damage:
    699,5167*290,5/100=2.032,09601
Our cannon damage varies on every shot and its like 3% i assume lets add it:
    2.032,09601*103/100=2.093,05889
We have 466 cannons lets calculate final damage:
    2.093,05889*466=975.365,445
    This was the calculation :)

    Ahoy,

    There are a few corrections:

    • Elite Ammunition Bonus (Ferocious Bookkeeper Castle) is applied to the Elite Ammo Bonus provided by the cannons, so the 95 + 8%.
    • Cannon Damage % applies to the base ammunition damage (the 120 Damage).
    • Critical Damage % applies to the base ammunition damage, only on a critical.
Applying these corrections the damage should be somewhere more around 380-390k. Keep in mind however, that it is very unlikely the majority of players will be hitting this hard, although theoretically it is possible.

    Okay, thanks.
    Im disappointed lol.
Now im curious about if a ship had min damage prevention and dodge (like -400%) could we hit harder than 400k?
Also do critical damage and cannon damage affect multiplicatively or additively?

    Ahoy,

The target having negative dodge chance would have no effect due to the attacking players Hit Probability being limited to a maximum of 100%.

Damage Prevention on the other hand, if the target had this in the negative, such as from Storm Lanterns, then this would effectively increase the attackers damage the same as Cannon Damage would.

    Has this answered your queries?
