I recently fought a player who had a 168% Hit Probability. I know all of the possible components involved and - by the way - the Seafight Bible (Max Values - Hit Probability) needs a serious update on this. My question: how did he get it so high? (I've run several scenarios and can't get it). Thanks for your time and help!

    Ahoy The*Defiant!

    I can assure you that
Maximum Values: Hit Probability is up to date.

Maximum value that player can have (within pvp) equals 188.8%, so 168% mentioned by you can be easily achieved.

Thanks Rymar. Well - why I question it is that "Rift cannons" (which nobody uses in battle to my knowledge) accounts for 80% of the Hit Probability number in "Max Values". I have only ever used Rift cannons in order to upgrade other cannons. I even tested my theory by putting some Rifts on my boat (and only Rift cannons) and the Hit probability was only 15% higher compared to my PvP set-up with Bastions, Overlords, Worldbreakers, and Painbringers. And thinking about it more, if it did give an 80% jump, I think a lot of folks wouldn't be buying many of the other cannons for sale. (Plus the guy with 168% Hit Probability that smoked me almost certainly wasn't using a lot of Rifts, since the other "Rift cannon" stats are relatively poor - see below screenshot). Am I wrong on this or missing something? (I really appreciate your thoughts and help on this).:)

The Rift cannons only equate to an extra 5% hit probability over regular cannons such as World Breakers/Bastions which are 75%. So even without using Rift cannons, a player can still achieve a 183.8% Hit Probability.

As there is no further questions regarding hit probability and OP seems to be satisfied with the answer provided this thread shall now be closed.
