?? about a cap...

Got caught into a battle was capped by my opponent. Sadly, his hp/vp well out-
lasted mine so my cap button did not light up. But, in my log book it says this:

You didn't board the ship successfully. You win 40 EP, but you lose 101771880 gold and 147 pirates.

for a min I was also going to say some thing about how much was taken from me but if his skills are set right, that about right.

So, if I did not attempt a cap of my opponent as he was not shot down enough, and he did attempt a cap on me, (saw the dust on the deck) why does my log say I tried boarding his ship? Secondarily, after his successful capture of me gold, the number of pirates i had onboard did not change on my seachart. I had to F5 in order to see this change.

When a player attempts to board another player now, your pirates would retaliate, they can win regardless of your trying the cap or not. This is why is shows as it does.

As for having to f5 to see the drop in pirates, I'm afraid this is just a glitch at the moment, and should hopefully be working correctly soon.

 

ahh... gotcha. I'll have to issue a general order and post it on the mainmast that me pirates are prohibited from boarding an enemy vessel without the express command of the captain or the penalty will be the severest the Rocks & Shoals will permit. And thanks on the f5 ? too. Now I can carry on getting sunk & capped with a clear mind lol...
