action bars and icons

is there a way to change the size of the action bars and icons ? such as the sentinel button and the active buffs you have?

 

You can move all of the icons around - but as a group - using the "Start Configurator" button, but I don't think you can "resize" the icons without resizing your entire Seachart at the same time (i.e., changing the "Graphics Display" choices within the game, or if you play by browser, changing the "Zoom"). I also wish we could move the icons individually. But it's a great question, and I as well would like to know the answer!

 

the only reason is that I have changed laptops and now all the icons and action bars seem so big they take over my sea chart, even when i make the sea chart smaller there doesn't seem enough room for all the action bars and so on.

 

There are a few options, but since I use a laptop too, I'll suggest what I myself do. I use a Hewlett-Packard 24" monitor (cost me 100 bucks brand new two years ago), keep the laptop lid closed, and send the feed to my big display. Works beautifully! See below. I'm using my Seachart on the 1024 x 768 Graphics setting (which is probably weird, but I like it) and my HP monitor display resolution is set to 1600 x 900, Landscape orientation, and Text size at "Medium- 125%". The max resolution for the 24" monitor is 1920 x 1080 and is the recommended resolution by HP. But again, I like it this way for myself. This doesn't answer your initial question, but maybe it helps you a bit.

Thank you for you reply Rymar, I reduced my resolution from 125% to 100% and it has make it marginally smaller but thanks for responding anyway.

The*Defiant I think your on to something I have been looking at monitors as i cant reduce my resolution less than 100%, so i think iwill invest in one and as you say i should be able to change the setting on there to suit me. thank you .
