Suggestion Another Server Merge

If you play on MS6 (GB1,DE3,DE4) youll know its pretty dead, you have to hit islands in order to fight people or fight the same ships over and over again.

It has been 2 years since the last server merge.

Being 2 years and a bit since the last server merge maybe add Italy 1 and France 1/Spain their servers surely can't be that packed and the ping from these countries would all be relativity the same.

 

it's dead cause you cannot play this game anymore... only pve that's your favorite map!

 

Sorry, another server merge would only make things worse. It sometimes amazes me how evidence is clear that such quick fixes don't work, yet someone always continues to ask for one . . (meaning no offense)

Hows this a quick fix? And how would it make it worse if you played my server you would know.

 

Merges are indeed a quick fix, it doesn't solve the problem of player inactivity, recruiting new players, or player growth, if anything it causes even more inactivity and fewer options for new players to join, grow, and compete.

 

IMHO - The key to improving this game and attracting the return of the old players and obviously encouraging new players is a return to the easier, simplistic and more affordable type of gameplay that we have all enjoyed in the previous former golden years. When stack battles were regular fun events where all players could get stuck in or even enjoy getting sunk, before rushing to repair in order to return battle ready again.

All merging of servers does is temporarily stick another plaster over an old existing wound, it cures nothing in the longer term and will end up going down the same old road as the previous server merges have made evidently clear. If the above style of more simplistic former play was to be reintroduced, with some of the complicated and totally unnecessary expensive items removed, then this game may once again become more enjoyable and more affordable than the current deadly circle that it has sadly been allowed to degenerate into.

LoL, yes ur right. but this bizz is runned by greed. and will end this game. cuz more and mre players stop playing..
make the game less costy, and more people wil use money in it.. and the people who uses lots now wil not stop using same among of money. they just buy more...for bp/ sf. its just finger presses away. greed will end this game.. slowly, but surly

 

I fully understand people's view of how a new Server Merge would help liven up the game but from experience of the last Server Merge (September 22nd 2015) we can see that the active players now across a mega server are about equivalent to the players each server had individually 2 years ago.

Don't get me wrong, I would love to have more people fighting on both sides and get some 100v100+ battles going, and when the server merge initially kicked off I had the most fun I had ever had on the game, but now it has died down again and all that has happened is that more players have left as a result. It was a "Quick Fix" exactly like @Corsair_Bill had said.

In my opinion you could make everybody happy by following Arky's suggestion he made some months ago. Introduce a War Raid Map where players from every server in the game can join into the same set of maps and fight it out. This would mean that those who want to farm in peace can do without having 2-3x the number of ships taking their pearls and sinking them off event ships and also players can fight against huge numbers of players if they so wish. This should be possible as the Jackpot Battles in the first years of Seafight's life supported this same feature with players from all servers battling it out on the water.

This would be the most appropriate and effective way to meet the player's needs in my opinion and I am strongly hoping that this will happen in the future.
