Event from July 20th until July 27th 2017

​

Armada of the Dead 2017 features the following:

· 1 new ship design: “Celestial Avenger”
· Event chests
· 2 series of quests
· Battles with The Merciless Admiral, Alphonse, Odette, Marcelle and - last, but not least - Jacques, and not to forget: The horrible plague!
· One new action item: “Surgeon's Visage”​

The event will

· start at 12 noon on July 20th
· end at 12 noon on July 27thJuly 31st (First phase: July 20th – July 25th, second phase July 25th – July 31st)
· Black market close at July 29th at 11 pmAugust 1st at 11 pm​

Once again “The Merciless Admiral” and his Armada of the Dead have risen from the dark.

Their cargos are massive amounts of souls, both “Radiant Souls” and “Cursed Souls”. The Souls are needed in order to generate energy for a hellish ritual.

Send the Admiral and his armada back into the dark in order to stop this ritual from happening.

While doing so, grab as many of the souls as you possibly can and use them on valuable items at the Black Market.

Lots of battles against event ships - and you might have to fight each of them twice!

First phase

You'll have to battle the armada in its “living” form.

You will meet normal ships, shooting as normal ships and sinking as normal ships!

Second phase

During this phase of the event, the event ships seem normal, but if sunk, they are likely to return from the afterlife and you must fight them again as “undead” creatures.

The “zombie form” is much stronger, because they have an extra voodoo shield, but the rewards are definitely also much better. Be sure to use your Soul Eater Ammo to get the extra kick!

All event ships can be found in maps 2-1 to 30-1. All players can shoot in all maps.

Ammunition needed and possible loots are shown in the following:

Vain Alphonse:

• Can be shot with all types of ammunition
• Reward: Soul Eater ammunition depending on how much damage caused​

Rotting Alphonse:

• Can be shot with all types of ammunition
• Reward: Soul Eater ammunition depending on how much damage caused
• Reward: EXP depending on how much damage caused​

Perfumed Odette:

• Must be shot with elite ammunition
• Reward: EXP and Cursed Souls depending on how much damage caused​

Putrid Odette:

• Must be shot with elite ammunition
• Reward: EXP and Cursed Souls depending on how much damage caused​

Graceful Marcelle:

• Must be shot with elite ammunition
• Reward: EXP and Radiant Souls depending on how much damage caused​

Shambling Marcelle:

• Must be shot with elite ammunition
• Reward: EXP and Radiant Souls depending on how much damage caused​

The Merciless Admiral:

• Appears to take vengeance after a certain number of event ships have been defeated.
• Generates a zone that will infect you with the plague* and weaken you!
• Must be shot with elite ammunition
• Reward: EXP and Pearls depending on how much damage caused​

The Soulless Admiral:

• Appears to take vengeance after a certain number of event ships have been defeated.
• Generates a zone that will infect you with the plague* and weaken you!
• Must be shot with elite ammunition
• Reward: EXP and Pearls depending on how much damage caused​

Fat Jacques:

• Appears to aid the Merciless during your battles with the Admiral
• Can be shot with all types of ammunition
• Reward: EXP depending on how much damage caused. Unstoppable and Surgeon's Visage when caused a certain amount of the total damage.​

Bloated Jacques:

• Appears to aid the Soulless during your battles with the Admiral
• Can be shot with all types of ammunition
• Reward: EXP depending on how much damage caused. Unstoppable and Surgeon's Visage when caused a certain amount of the total damage.​

*The plague is an infectious disease, meaning every player who goes near somebody infected will also be infected immediately. You can however save yourself from the epidemic by using the action item “Unstoppable”

Surgeon’s Visage

Description:
Become a plague carrier when you use the Surgeon’s Visage and gain the Contagion Curse. The Curse weakens you but you can spread the Plague for 5 minutes and remain immune to the Plague for 10 minutes.

Soul Eater ammunition causes much more damage than any other ammunition.

There will be two different series of quests, one in phase 1 (quest giver: Bill Barnacle Ballard) and one in phase 2 (quest giver: Loreena Barrett)
Both series will include:

· one quest repeatable every hour
· one quest repeatable every day (24 hours from start)​

You will find the quest givers, Bill Barnacle Ballard and Loreena Barrett in a Safe Haven.

You will find event treasure chests on maps 2-1 to 30-1.


Event chests you can open with event keys. They can be bought on the Black Market.

In the chests you will find many useful items, like ammunition, crystals and some other action items like Unstoppable.

There will be 2 ranking lists, one for each phase – and both giving the same rewards. The rewards are:

*Drawn amongst the players positioned in Top100 on the event ranking. Please note: As the players are being drawn randomly, some players can win more than one reward!

Cursed and Radiant Souls can be used to purchase items in the Black Market!

You will be able to buy several ship designs and several pets, but also various buffs, event keys, ammunition and more.

The stats for the new ship design: “Celestial Avenger”

· Twinkling Coral - 17% Critical damage
· Twinkling Rhodolite - 17% Boarding bonus
· Twinkling Sodalite – 12% Dodge chance
· Twinkling Lapis Lazuli – 85.000 HP​

The Cursed and Radiant Souls will be exchanged for in-game items. Specific details will be revealed nearer the end of the event.

The Event Keys will be replaced by normal chest keys at a ratio of 1:1.

 

The post event compensation will be on Wednesday, the 2nd August at 12 noon (local server time).

We will exchange following items:
