Atlantis Launchers

Was just wondering what the "best" launcher for PVE is considered to be in Atlantis. currently have been upgrading some zorax launchers, but I'm wondering if that's actually the best one. I'd rather find out here instead of wasting a bunch of time and resources going down the wrong path. Answers appreciated, ty.

Some may say that Mako is the best launcher for PvE, others would pick Zorax as their main source of the firepower.

Everything depend on what do you prioritize, slightly higher damage, or a faster reload time?

Here, take a look at what is the difference between Level 6 Mako / Zorax launcher when tinkered to 300+.

As you can see on the example above Mako has an overall Damage vs. NPCs of 49% while Zorax have 24.5% base + 4.5% from tinkering atribute. So in this case personally I would pick Mako as my main damage vs. NPCs launcher.

However... not every tinkering attempts are equal, everything is up to your luck. You may use 336 tinkering tools and pull a launcher with 21.6% Critical damage (which is good - see picture above) or you can use exact amount of tinkering tools but pull something like this:

To summary all of this, Mako would be better for "base damage" however Zorax potential on Critical Damage and faster Reload Time may cause a huge difference over a longer period of time (higher NPC HP for example).

I see. Seems like the tinkering mechanic really throws a wrench into having a straight answer, but your reply has definitely helped and I will probably try and upgrade both zorax and mako for the time being. Ty, Rymar
